Very comfortable and warm

It had everything we could possibly need for a short stay. The only tip I would say to improve stay would be to have an electric car point for visitors with EVs. That would be helpful as there aren’t any charges for miles.

The main bedroom mattress is rather on the squishy side and window coverings in the attic rooms would be valued.

Lovely and welcoming cottage (it was decorated up for Easter too). Cute welcome hamper and furnished to a good standard with lots of little touches, like iPhone chargers, hairdryers, range of toiletries and blankets to be cosy in the lounge. Really felt home from home. We didn’t cook (it was a holiday :-)) but kitchen was well equipped and plenty of everything. Our 2 children (12 and 14) loved their rooms in the roof too - great for them to have their own space.

It was probably just me, but i could not get the heating to stay consistent. It seemed to be set to a mode that would shut off late at night and we would be freezing by morning. I couldn't seem to update, or have the authority to change the settings for our stay on the control pad. The carpark is over the road and down a small lane, easily found, but a little tricky in the rain with 3 small children. It was a minor issue though when the rest of the stay was excellent.

I absolutely loved this cottage, the decor was lovely and i really appreciated all the thoughtful gestures. I could tell that the host looked at who our party was made up of and adjusted accordingly (children). The two attic rooms were perfect for my older two, and my little one and i shared the bedroom downstairs. We loved spending time in the living room when the weather outside was cold and rainy. There is a pub within 3mins walk and the views are spectacular.

This house felt better than home. The decor is beautiful. Bedding, towels, blankets were luxurious. There was a lovely hamper upon arrival with delightful treats. Everything was very easy to use. Instructions for arrival were comprehensive and very easy to follow. I will stay here again in a heartbeat!

Unfortunately the WiFi didn't work and we had to purchase a mobile wifi. The WiFi reception is also poor for some providers.

Beautiful decorated and a home from home. Set in an idyllic little village surrounded by rolling hills.

This cottage is just an absolute gem! We spent 2 nights here and it had everything you could ever need for a comfortable stay, including a lovely welcome hamper there for us on arrival. The place was spotless, very tastefully decorated, with the most comfortable beds and the perfect spot for our girls weekend away. The owners have literally thought about everything, even down to the instructions on how to find the cottage. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful place! Thank you so much! 💓

There was a common square in front of all the terraced houses used for unloading and reloading bags. It was a stone paved area and we were not to park there. We were instructed to park in a lot across the road rather than the common square which we did with no trouble. I am from North America and I got a surprise on our departure. There was a metal post standing 2 feet up from ground level. It was unmarked, grey and not at all noticeable. The stone paving was also grey. It stood about 6 feet out from a house and was obviously placed there to prevent anyone from parking in that area. But it was quite some distance from the wall of the house, not very tall and completely grey. I was one of 3 cars looking about to see where to put the car for loading our bags; quite a bit of traffic for a small area. I ran right into and partially over the post and caused more than 2000 GBP in damages to the hired car. I felt that the post should have been marked and also that I should have been forewarned. We don't have this inconsiderate practise in North America so it came as a nasty surprise. Not just the expense but the inconvenience in the middle of a holiday. I did tell the host and I hope that she has spoken to her neighbour about removing the post or clearly marking the post. How about a no parking sign? Who does something like that... stick a post that is extremely difficult to see and that can so easily cause damage. I am still very upset about it all.

The property was clean and very comfortable. There were several walks we could take and the location was nice and quiet. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked our meals with no difficulties.

Beautiful property, great location just outside of Bakewell. Owner thought of everything! The property was warm and very welcoming, lots of lovely extras, even down to the pumpkin and Halloween decorations that greeted us. Super comfy beds, spotlessly clean, off-road parking opposite accommodation. Would 100% recommend a stay in this lovely property.

Bed in main bedroom is very soft and quite lumpy and the shower tray in ensuite is shallow and leaks.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful little village. Very clean overall and a very thoughtful hamper on arrival. Attention to detail is great in terms of kitchen utensils etc and games and books to enjoy. The local pub has stunning views and walks nearby

The courtyard entrance was very welcoming. The location very convenient. A really lovely welcoming hamper, everything was so well supplied. The whole cottage was beautifully fitted, felt like a home. The sitting room was a delightful surprise.
