It mentioned a Bluetooth speaker but I couldn’t find one! Didn’t really matter though as doubt I’d have had time to use it.

This property is located in the basement of a house, which we were unaware of so we struggled a little to find the key box initially. We were not sent an email from Booking.com with instructions on how to find the keys. Luckily, the owner was in to help us. There was unfortunately no full length mirror in the room, which would have been really appreciated as we were getting ready for a wedding. Although the owner kindly gave us a loan of an ironing board and iron, it meant we were not fully independent whilst staying there. Perhaps an ironing board and iron could be installed by the owner for future guests.

The room decor was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. There was a dressing table and chair in front of a mirror. It was nice and warm as there were two radiators. The bathroom was well equipped with a heated towel rail and a powerful shower. A nice touch was the tea and coffee making facilities with the mini fridge where milk was kept. The new owner had installed a brand new TV.

The blind on the door didn't quite work properly to keep out the light. A map with road names written on it would have been very useful to use in conjunction with the visitor parking permit. A hand written map was provided but had no street names on it

Location extremely convenient for the city centre 5 mins walk. Comfortable room and good shower. Good to have a little fridge. Permit given for parking in nearby streets

Room is in a basement, with no windows other than by the door. So not much natural light (I was there on a bit of a dull day, so this wasn't too important).

Clean room with all facilities, good wifi, near Hyde Abbey and easy walk to city centre and cathedral. Separate access with key safe.

Unfriendly cleaner who arrived about 11.01am and seemed very disgruntled that we were only just leaving. We swiftly vacated no later than 11.03am but cleaner was then nowhere to be seen and I popped back with parking permit at about 11.07am again no cleaner to be seen. The owner was away when we stayed but when we spoke we were assured that the situation (with an agency cleaner) would not happen again. It in no way would discourage us from staying again because the owner was friendly, apologetic and genuinely concerned that we were happy with everything.

Excellent quiet location close to city centre. Just stayed one night to visit Christmas Market. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The bed was comfy and the room had a radiator and electric heater that could be adjusted to suit so we were very cosy. Tea/coffee, fresh milk in a (silent) fridge and treats, powerful shower, heated towel rail, clothes hanging rail and chest of drawers, road map of area and places of interest info folder were just a few of the things that made our stay so good. Managed to park nearby and the parking permit was also very much appreciated thank you. We enjoyed our stay would highly recommend and would love to stay again.

Nothing, it perfect for what we needed and we would book it again.

This was a lovely little find in a perfect location ten minutes walk into the city. Penny the owner responded to emails quickly and efficiently and when we arrived the room was clean and inviting. It was a lovely option, with a private entrance, so much nicer than hotel room. The shower was brilliant....so fast and powerful. Parking was free using the permit that had been left out ... there are lots of double yellow lines , and parking is at a premium, but it was a just round the corner to a vacant bay so not a problem to us.

Nothing, we were very happy.

The location was fantastic with only a short walk in to the centre of Winchester. Amazing little room with everything you need for a night away: en suite, fridge, kettle, TV and WiFi. Also within the room is a very helpful folder with great places to eat and explore locally, we ate at two of the recommended venues, and were not disappointed. Overall very happy with our stay and would definitely book again.

The room information folder needs updating, the newsagents mentioned no longer exists. The parking is difficult, so busy. The map on the back of the parking permit could be improved with street names.

Although we appreciated the gesture of someone coming in to the room to empty the bins and restock the tea tray while we were out, it would have been nice to be informed that this would happen, and to be provided with the opportunity to opt out of this if desired.

Convenient check in and checkout. Room was very clean and comfortable.
