Great location for easy access to A38 and Derby city centre, lovely spacious room (The Adam) and beautifully clean bed linen and towels. Fridge in room and good sized TV - dressing table and mirror with several plug points close by. Large bathroom with bath and walk in shower. Well designed rooms. All staff very friendly and accomodating.

We loved the room, the cocktails in the garden and the staff! We were already considering a return trip until we were both disappointed by breakfast! My granola was over sweet, with insufficient yogurt and fruit. As an anticipated healthy option, it fell very short and I left a good half of it, if not more. My husband's cooked breakfast had very sad scrambled egg and just did not match up to our expectations. We realise there were temporary problems with the hob, but a slight adjustment in costs would have been a gesture. My granola, however, was quite unpleasant and nothing to do with cooking facilities. As I recall, the bread was also disappointing, standard white and brown sliced. BUT the room was an absolute joy - what a shame.

Leaving in the morning!

Staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. Food was amazing, then for my partner's 50th they bought out a piece of cake with a candle and happy birthday written in chocolate, totally unexpected I didn't even organise that, such a lovely gesture.

The kettle was in a cupboard 'drawer' that you couldn't slide out because the kettle lead was too short. There were no glasses in the bathroom....

The size of the family room was great. Lots of seating places. Double windows flooded the bedroom with light, so it was good to have a huge fan to cool the room.

The water wasn't very hot. Only managed half a warm bath. Scarambled eggs and bacon on sour dough. It was just cheap white bread, not very well toasted, bacon wasn't very well done. My husbands full english looked lovely though.

Loved the breakfast, and on that basis would book for evening meal next time! Our room was really comfortable, and the plumbing was good lots of hot water and great shower.
