Our allocated room on the second floor although there was a lift we still had to navigate stairs on the landings to got to our room

Steps to rooms. Floor sloped which was disconcerting to my partially sighted husband.

We have no issues with this hotel and it's high standards.

I think the staff have a competition to see who can smile the most. Everyone is happy and helpful. Ideally located, only a short walk into Keswick. Very comfortable bar/lounge areas. Food is fantastic with a new menu every night. Well equipped rooms with high housekeeping standards. The complementary tea/coffee tray is fully stocked and regularly replenished. We will definitely be visiting again for the 4th time.

They could have had a few "bar snacks" type of food available after 5.30pm. They said they didn't want the bar to compete once the restaurant opened, but the two things would not preclude each other. Reception could be smartened and better lit. First impressions were old fashioned.

My wife and I and two other family members stayed in three rooms at Keswick Country House Hotel for five nights B&B, we had three evening meals there. The rooms were nice and big, clean and the beds were very comfortable. All the food was excellent, delicious, good portion sizes, great quality and excellently cooked and served. All the staff were lovely, professional, and efficient and could not do more to help us in every way. Keep up the good work and thank you all. Looking forward to our next visit to Keswick Country House Hotel.

A walk in shower would have been preferable with an adjustable shower head and control. Paint work in corridors and in bedrooms could do with refreshing to match quality of the lounge and dining room.

The breakfast was excellent as a self service full English, but after four days it can be very repetitive. I would like to see some variety on the menu such as kippers, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, fish with a poached egg. Fruit, cereal and pastries are a given !

Everything from a very comfortable room on the third floor to the welcome at reception when arriving. The space of the hotel is inviting with a large lounge to relax in, and large dining room. Being a Victorian Hotel there is plenty of space and large corridors. The free car park was very welcome with plenty of spaces available. The hotel is a five minute walk from the centre of Keswick.

I suppose if you wanted something more modern and up to date you may of questioned it , but I didn't mind .

Enjoyed the old fashioned look to the building , very traditional. Large rooms throughout from bedroom to dining and public areas as well as well maintained gardens surrounding the building.
