I liked everything about my stay. No downside to our stay.

Clean modern and very comfortable facilities, professional and very pleasant staff, very tranquil and relaxing location. Food in bistro was beyond excellent, out of this world.

Couldn't change the temperature of the water in the shower. I mentioned this to the receptionist when checking out. Cards didn't work in the bedroom door on the second day. This was rectified.

Dinner in the restaurant was the highlight of our visit.

We had a slight noise from the shower when the water was on I suspect plumbing issues however it doesn’t affect how we felt about our stay as nothing in life is perfect

Was a valentines stay for me and the mrs so just wanted a quiet few drinks nice dinner and comfortable room but it absolutely blew me away how comfy it was. How much the bar staff knew about the drinks etc also how clean the whole hotel was

Undercooked food, and although offered complimentary cocktails, food was still billed. Bar area was not suitable for Saturday night fun, jazz music and no TV or designate drinking area, drinking amongst people eating dinner. Offered to drink in lobby also but no atmosphere there either. Would have been nice to have an area with live music and some fun for the weekend rather than having to return to your room in such a rural location. Breakfast poached eggs were cold and soda bread was stale. Outdoor hot tub kept sending out dirty bubbly water. Left covered in a scum after using it. It was very expensive for one night but on a par with hotels of similar rating. 65 for 30 min back massage, massage was average. Room was too warm during the night but adjusted temp as low as possible. Uncomfortable to open the outside door as ground level and no window to open, so left room very stuffy. Everything else was fantastic. I just highlighted the bits that were disappointing.

Views, guest walks, bedrooms and outdoor seating, special cake in bedroom for bday, complimentary cocktails due to undercooked food, everything nice and clean and staff wonderful and friendly.

This was our second visit and this time we booked the gate lodge for a special Birthday celebration and it was so comfortable and very well equipped. Would highly recommended. Thankyou to all the wonderful staff both at reception and in the dining area .

Two large bottles of still and sparking water in the room. Other hotels charging the same amount for a double room of this kind provide a complimentary mini bar with bottles of unopened still/sparkling water.

breakfast was great. I am a vegan and they prepared something for me specially. Do phone in advance and let them know. They also had several vegan options on the dinner menu. The staff were exceptionally good, friendly, helpful and courteous.

So many things. Absolutely beautiful location. Staff went above and beyond and seemed to love the work they were doing. Aaron was the best bartender we have ever had, the bar going forward for our drink expectations is very high. He also gave us great recommendations for points of interest. Katie was amazing at the front desk and very helpful with points of interest as well! Cristian made sure to check in about our stay and was an absolute delight to talk to about everything. Whatever the team there is doing to create a great environment to stay and work at needs to continue!
