Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe family run B and B was friendly, well maintained and exceptionally clean. The bed room was well looked after and changed every day..The breakfast had a wide range of offerings with something for everyone. The only problem was the entrance driveway which you. entered from a main road and was risky to say the least

IndiaI really don’t have any complaints whatsoever and would have happily stayed for longer had I had the time to do so. Oh well, maybe next time.
Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice including cereals, also the offer of yoghurt with various soft fruits grown by Bridget, the very nice and accommodating owner of the B&B, in her lovely garden at the property - call me old fashioned but I opted for the fried breakfast, which comprised really good quality sausages and bacon from a local butcher rather than bog standard supermarket ingredients, also lovely home baked bread and fresh orange juice. Overall I have to say my stay was excellent, and should I be visiting north Cornwall again I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here, indeed it would be my first choice. Bridget herself, and also her daughter who came in to help the weekend I was there, were both excellent, friendly sources of local information in terms of suggestions for things to do, where to go and how to get there. I also liked that nothing was too much trouble regarding requesting extra tea, coffee or sugar for the room I stayed in, even though one of my requests was fairly late in the evening, and they were both also really friendly towards my dog, which as every dog owner knows really says a lot about the host. All in all it was a lovely stay, and certainly one of my better bed and breakfast experiences. Very clean, very welcoming, a great breakfast and also very competitively priced, and I certainly can’t see why anyone would leave disappointed or dissatisfied with either the property, the owner or the service. I’d have no problem recommending Kilna to family or friends.

United KingdomThat the private bathroom was down the hallway, made trips to the toilet more difficult during the night especially with a barking dog in the next room. I did not like that there was a dog staying in the b and b but appreciated that I was asked before it was allowed into the breakfast room. I also didn't like how close the b and b was to the main road as I did not see this on the description, also I read that it was less than a mile from looe which was inaccurate.
I loved the b and b style, the old fashioned furnishings and homely feel of the place. Bridget is a lovely hostess and cooks a great breakfast. The garden is lovely and would be nice to sit in when the weather is warmer.

United KingdomThere was nothing not to like.
The building has lots of character. The owners have done a great job on the new decor whilst keeping the charm and character of this lovely property. Lovely gardens and lots of bird song each morning. Convenient location to all the nearby attractions. The whole Guest house was spotless with great attention to detail for the guests comfort. Towelling dressing gown was a nice touch. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice and home made bread and marmalade was delicious. Excellent table service. Bridget is a delightful lady with many years experience in hospitality. Can't wait to return to recharge my batteries again. Thank you Bridget.

Where do i start, this is lovely 16th century property with some beautiful features within the property. Our breakfast was amazing the 1st BnB/Hotel who cooked my meat exactly how i like it. Bridget the owner is a delight and so was her daughter. Great local knowledge. As gay couple you always worry when booking an independent BnB, we'll we were worrying for no reason, me and Darren where treated wonderfully, felt like a home from home. Well done Bridget and her team you put large chains to shame.
