    Nothing.

A lovely old house and a welcoming and very comfortable hotel with good food and friendly staff. It is conveniently situated near cycle routes and can store bicycles securely overnight making it an excellent stopover for cyclists. This was our third visit and we will be back.

The dinner at night and the breakfast in the morning were a bit disappointing. TV signal was poor.

Lovely hotel, although it is in need of a bit of TLC. Great bathrooms and bedroom. Lots of parking available on site. Staff at check in and in the dining room were great - very friendly and helpful.

Everything was fine though a bit low on staff. Residents lounge not staffed to had to go outside and round the back to the convivial bar, which was fine. Didn't book breakfast and nobody else had, so I couldn't change my mind as chef took a morning off. Again not a problem as kettle in room.

I paid a bit more for a superior room and a lovely large room with turret attached and lovely bathroom with stand alone bath. Think it was the honeymoon suite. No complaints at all. Would go back again

The bathtub was a huge deep one just inviting you to have a bath, but the plug was broken so I couldn't fill it up. Mentioned this twice to staff but nothing was done about it, which is a shame! The room was also stone cold when I arrived and with only one radiator for such a large room, it remained a little on the chilly side throughout my stay. Won't be a problem in the summer!

Huge room, comfortable bed and a nicely fitted out bathroom. The attached bar/restaurant served good quality food for a very fair price. Staff were all friendly. Breakfast was also good.

Food wasn't great. We ordered mussels and they were barely warm, sauce was nice. Brown bread was from a sliced pan and was stale

The private road up to the property could do with some attention.

Lovely historic property, always a pleasure to stay in buildings like this that are well maintained. Staff were friendly and polite, and the breakfast was exceptional, my favourite a full Scottish and cooked to perfection. We were only here for one night but I would definitely stay again. We had dinner in the bar sat next to the lovely big log burner, very comfortable and relaxing environment.

This is a fantastic friendly hotel only a couple of miles outside Kirkintilloch which serves superb food. It also has a really lovely bar at the back of the hotel which has a great friendly atmosphere and serves amazing food. All the staff in the hotel and attached bar are amazing.

Rooms weren’t very soundproof - could hear next door but didn’t disturb our sleep thankfully. Main meal was mediocre (peas were unfortunately really hard & plate was overloaded with them). Fish however was delicious.

Beautiful property, fantastic facilities & comfortable room. Staff friendly and welcoming, dining environment in the conservatory was lovely. Brilliant breakfast. Ideally located for stop over enroute to highlands.

    Nothing.

Staff at the Kincaid were lovely; as a solo traveller it can be intimidating eating alone, but the team made me feel very welcome, and the conservatory dining area was very comfortable. The food was exceptional, the room was clean and comfortable, and it was great to be able to park on site.

Impressive old house and grounds with good access for central Scotland

Food was limited, apart from literal buckets of chips for dinner, few quality alternatives within easy reach, but village cafe good (with rhubarb gin cake...). Disappointed no porridge available for breakfast, but huge portions of eggs. Local information would have been useful, we had to find our way and ask around. A lounge or sitting space would be good.

Helpful hotel workers. Excellent local walks. Plenty of space in rooms and conservatory, good showers. Quiet, good grounds and convenient parking. A good alternative to Glasgow city, access good for central Scotland eg Stirling. Clearly popular for local functions, we were lucky it was quiet.

We opted to try out the courtyard restaurant for our evening meal. I am sure the main building would also have been good but in this other area we were served by two very helpful and enthusiastic young people who again could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. This high standard was repeated when we enjoyed a hearty breakfast the next morning. Different staff but the same high standard.

This was the first time my wife and I had visited the hotel since our wedding reception back in 1972. We really enjoyed our stay from the moment we crossed the threshold until we left. All the staff we met were most accommodating and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Our large room was well appointed with everything we required for an excellent stay.
