How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Staff attentive and let us have drinks even though we arrived very late. The aircon in the room was much needed as weather was extremely hot. Good location for an overnight stay if visiting the Big Cat Sanctuary.

Having a two night stay, I expected to have the tea & coffee etc replenished, the dirty cup removed and the bed made after the first night.
Excellent breakfast. May need to start at 8 am (rather than 8.30) for those of us who have to leave early for an appointment.

Small room directly behind reception desk. Could here every word.
Very clean, looks new and they spent a lot of money . Can't comment on the bar or restaurant as I didn't use them.

Big car park, excellent Indian Restaurant attached. New building so room and bathroom looked really new and clean.

No toiletries/soap in the bathroom. Being able to choose a breakfast, lovely as it was, it was a one choice fits all.
Lovely large spacious room, quiet, clean and very helpful staff.

Reception area with people coming and going was right next to our room (3) and staff and customers made no attempt to be quiet even though our room offered no soundproofing. It was not really in Tenterden and you would need a taxi to the town centre
Modern clean rooms with Smart TV's so access to Netflix etc. Great shower. On site Indian Restaurant and bar. A 20 minute walk from nearest pub.

we were out in room 7 and it was right beside the lobby so it we could hear everything going on. doors are quite thin. it was quite far from amenities so a car is needed. do not take room 6/7/8
free parking. nice interior in the room and the lobby. bed was moderately comfy. our room was quite cute. room was cool without any air conditioning. free to come and go as you please. nice little outdoor area to sit. room was on the smaller side but for a short stay it is perfect. I would recommend to upgrade if you stay longer for a bigger room.

The room was small and the bathroom very small. It took a long time for the water to heat in the shower. The air con was good but had a very bright white light on it which lit up the whole room. That in addition to the safety light above the door caused me to find it difficult to sleep.
The whole hotel was very clean and modern. It was a quiet location with friendly staff.

Some odd mechanical noises at night, very noisy neighbours (not the hotel's fault). Road is quite busy (didn't affect us in room 5). Breakfast - there was no choice or menu or even info about what was on offer, it was a full English type breakfast provided with brown toast (and spreads), hash browns, hot dog type sausages, omelette and beans (with a glass of orange juice and tea/coffee).
New building, and all rooms are clean and newly furnished. Staff were super helpful when we were unable to get a taxi back from Tenterden village. Plenty of parking on site and outdoor seating areas are available.

Friendly staff, excellent Indian restaurant, we had an upgraded larger room , which we would recommend (the basic rooms are small, but fine for one night). Modern hotel, tea/coffee facilities in the room and plenty of parking. Good Wi-Fi .
