The breakfast options, although tasty, were rather limited. The self-serve breakfast selection was lacking and there were quite a few menu options that were not available. Decaf coffee was unavailable the first day and then caffeinated coffee was unavailable the second day! Would also be nice to have a choice of firm or soft pillows. That said, I wouldn't at all be put off returning.

The place was very lovely with a beautiful lake view especially enjoyable from the restaurant.The room was warm, clean and cosy with a clean and modern bathroom and shower. Fantastic attention to detail with little notes to make the stay more comfortable and a nice choice of in room refreshments. Even have the option to request fresh milk. Staff were helpful and thoughtful.

Good rooms - well equipped and comfortable. The dinner choice was surprisingly nice and the food was good as well as the service. Really nice sauna area and a decent gym. Breakfast was nice too.

Was pleasantly surprised by the motel look from the outside, it’s different but done well. The room itself was beautifully decorated. Comfy king size bed, nice and warm, room looked out onto a little lake and gazebo. Ample parking. Whilst my husband enjoyed exclusive use of the gym and sauna, I was able to work in the restaurant which was chic yet cosy. Staff were kind and friendly. Location is great, only 10 minutes from MK. Will definitely stay again when we’re in the area.

My partner ordered egg Forestier for breakfast but a vegan full English turned up instead. My full English breakfast was 'okay' but certainly not exceptional. Mushroom and whole tomato very undercooked and tasteless. My partner's egg Forestier eventually arrived after I had finished my breakfast which spoiled the breakfast experience. The egg Forestier had a cold, untoasted muffin with a wet, undercooked mushroom under the poached eggs. The hollandaise sauce was awful, leaving a very putrid aftertaste. The whole dish was inedible so my partner made do with croissants and toast rather than wait for yet another meal. Having said that, we would definitely stay again but perhaps choose a different option for breakfast.

Staff very friendly and helpful, particularly Tyrone and the sole waitress in the bar area. Both working flat out but very efficient and a credit to the hotel. There was an event on which we were not informed of so restaurant closed early therefore we ate in the bar with party-goers arriving which we didn't mind at all. We had roast lamb shoulder and chicken supreme, both served with dauphinoise and lovely vegetables. An excellent meal and would order both dishes again without hesitation. Parking excellent and plentiful so you can park right outside your room door which is perfect for those with mobility issues. Bed was vast and very comfortable. Room and bathroom spotless, not huge but adequate for our needs. An additional shelf in bathroom would be very welcome for toiletries. Netflix is available on tv in room. This is not a traditional hotel, more like a very nice motel as there is no quiet area or guest lounge to sit. Perhaps the bar would be more like a quiet lounge had there not been an event on but this did not detract from our stay. The public areas and toilets were also very clean and welcoming.

We were told after we booked about a wedding at the venue so we decided to eat out that night. But we had to eat all our meals in the bar and not in the restaurant. The breakfast on the first morning was fabulous and obviously freshly cooked. We ordered the same the following day and it was completely different. The smoked salmon and eggs should have had cream cheese and chives. We questioned the whereabouts of the cheese and were promptly given a pot to put on ourselves. No chives were added and the scrambled egg had an usual texture and appearance. I’m guessing a different chef on day 2. so a bit disappointing.

Me and my partner stayed in the humming bird suite, Lake side view, beautiful spa bath and the bed was exceptionally comfortbale. Very warm and welcoming staff. Would highly recommend staying here.
