Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe hotel was no frills, a bit busy and noisy, with tired decor and a small room. Staff were disinterested in any conversation.
It was booked for the easy access to St Pancras station and, being in sight of the station, it achieved this easily. It was clean and comfortable. There was a good restaurant adjacent to the hotel for breakfast.

GermanyBathroom had only a sliding door tha did shield views but didn't offer any further privacy. Would have been nice to have a second chair in the double room. Close to a high traffic road and also large construction site so if you would want to sleep in it might disturb you. In the evening there was a large group of man smoking, drinking and listenig to loud music in front of the hotel entrence which made me feel uncomfortable as a women as they appeared to observe the people coming and going from the hotel.
Perfect if you are leaving from Kings Cross or St. Pancras Int. early in the morning. Underground Picadilly Line to Heathrow airport directly in front of the Hotel. Really nice to have a small fridge in the room. Clean and modern shower and free luggage storage. So perfect if you be there only for sleeping because auf the proximity to the train stations. Nice to have two seperat duvets.

United KingdomThat there was no food available at the hotel and I had to use local catering options, which was fine in the evenung and for breaksfast but when I arrievd just ater lunch most of the options were very full,a so limited choice.
room location - on the ground floor - this was useful because I have some mobility issues. The hotel was located near to the veuse that I was attending on the day, so allowed me to walk to the venue. The price also seemed good in comparison with other surrounding hotels.

United Kingdomnoisy guests. There was no advertised quiet hours and several guests chatted loudly in the corridor late at night. I expected guests to be arriving late etc given the location of the hotel but not that they would be returning seemingly loud and drunk at all hours of the night (i.e 2, 3, 4 in the morning). Would be useful if reception could tell them to keep the noise down.
Check in/out was quick and hassle free. Location was ideal for travelling via Kings Cross / St Pancras. Hotel was clean, beds were comfortable. Tea and coffee in the room well stocked with working kettle and fridge. Air con was available but not required in March.
