Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomMy room was directly outside the reception and next to the luggage room and so it was very loud all evening and morning! There’s also steps up to and out of the hotel, I had 3 cases… no one sat at the reception offered me help going in or out of the hotel.
It is literally just across from King’s Cross station and the hotel has a luggage room you can store your cases at until you need to go back to Kinross station for example.

It is directly opposite King's Cross station, so it is perfect if you are travelling to or from London from anywhere that goes into either King's Cross, St Pancras International or Euston which is only seven minutes walk away.

United KingdomRight outside the hotel there is currently building work going on starting at 7am right through intill 7pm very loud as drilling foundations. Would be good for hotel to update there website to inform guests about this or mentions when checking in.
Location was perfect right by King cross station and the underground. Rooms are perfect size not to big or too small, bathroom is finished to a high standard.

United KingdomFixtures and fittings not great. Key card holder for light fell off, meaning lights wouldn't stay on, but staff member solved issue. Appeared there was some leak from shower above with water trickling down. Issue raised on checkout.
Location is great for King's criss Station, access to the underground and nearby coal drops yard and Granary Square. Price is good for Central London. No frills if you spend a lot of time in the room, but purely for sleeping and getting ready to go out, it ticks the box. Crucially, you can leave your bags if you arrive early or have a day of exploring after check out. Staff helpful with key card issue.
