Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI can’t even think of anything I didn’t like ! Maybe just the hot tub lid could of been left a little open to air out before we arrived to stop the slight smell of the water left at the bottom , but other then that I have nothing negative to say it’s such a lovely little hut with everything you need
The Hot tub at night watching the stars was amazing , chiminea was also lovely to sit around and keep warm listening to the fire crackling , the bed was so comfy! most comfortable bed Iv ever slept on !!! The view outside in the morning and sunset with the animals was superb I will 100% be back here again!! Didn’t meet the host I think I may have waved at her on the way out ,but she was very helpful via msgs. then a 5 min drive in the evening we got the best chinese !! was called moon something. the roost hut was really warm with the little heater in there, it was a really romantic and cosy time for my birthday :) thank you

United KingdomI booked a two night stay for my boyfriends 30th birthday and it couldn't have been better! The hut is amazing inside and out, immaculately clean, the bed is super comfy and easy to fold out, it really had everything you could need for a cosy weekend away! The hot tub was the highlight, building and tending to the fire to heat it up was all part of the experience and all the logs and firefighters were provided. There are buses into Oxford and nearby small villages which we found really handy as we didn't have a car and we used a local taxi too. We met our host Georgina briefly and she was lovely and very responsive when we had any questions. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back soon!

United KingdomRemember that the double bed is a "cosy" double!
Gorgeous hut and location, obviously you know it's not going to be massive from the photos but it's well appointed, clean and even though there's good WiFi it was a nice break from screens! The views are stunning, the walking nearby is great and the wood fired hot tub and lit deck is a total luxury addition.

United KingdomIf your sleep is noise sensitive get some noise cancellation plugs as early in the morning birds will “dance” on the hut, but hey nature is one of the reasons you are there.
You see no one, and you need no one. Everything you could need is provided and more. Will definitely go back when we have a chance.

Although we didn't meet the hosts in person their communication was excellent. The facilities were exceptional and the setting perfect for a relaxing, romantic get away. Could not fault anything, top rate and will definitely be looking to book a return visit in tge future. The purpose of our visit was to celebrate my partner's birthday and yo say he enjoyed it is an understatement. The perfect place for celebrating a special occasion.

United KingdomIs unusual these days , in even small self catering accom, not to have a cafetière to make fresh coffee .- we managed with a pan but would be useful addition for future guests . Maybe naively, but I didn’t expect the constant and loud traffic noise (.? From motorway a few miles away );to be so intrusive . However, we had a very enjoyable stay. and would return and recommend.
The rural location, lovely views, the charm of the hut, the good quality furnishings and fittings . The hut is v well designed, excellent bathroom with lots of hot water. Hot tub easy to use , bed v comfy, great wi fi , good storage . We were v lucky with the weather and ate every meal outside so appreciated the outside table/ chairs .We had breakfast outside, and lit fire and had supper under the stars. Idyllic . Thame is lovely little town, easily walkable to, as is Rycote chapel . Thanks for os maps. A lovely stay .

Great location for exploring Thame and Oxford. The hot tub and outdoor areas are amazing to have. Added extras such as airer, robes, out door seats were a great addition to our last stay.

United KingdomUnfortunately there is the noisy A40 road that was busy all of the time which is quite irritating especially when trying to relax in the hot tub. Seating outside is very minimal and uncomfortable, 2 iron chairs with a tiny table, they could put a decent table and chairs for sitting out for dining, in my opinion it is not value for money at £120 a night during low season and midweek you can get far more for your money elsewhere for me the area wasn't very scenic, but i do live in a lovely area Henley if you are coming from a city this will probably not be an issue. Overall not a terrible experience but perhaps in hindsight this type of place is best suited for the warmer weather
Lovely hut done out very well spotlessly clean, bed was very comfy although would have preferred not to have to pull bed out every evening but thats just my preference. Owners leave you to it never saw them which for me is perfect, Any problems were dealt with via text we ran out of logs for hot tub and they were very quickly replenished, a word of warning the hot tub does take at least 6 hours to heat, probably not a problem during warm weather unfortunately it was snowing whilst we were there
