Sort of in an isolated place but the pub opposite was great for food.

Comfy, warm cottage with great facilities and plenty of space. Games room and swimming pool made it extra special. Good location for visiting Dales and Peak District.

We all thought that the pillows were a bit on the firm side.

The location is great and having the pub across the road is a massive plus. The cottages are very well equipped and are good sizes. The swimming pool and games room are a great for those rainy days when you cannot get outside.

The only issue we had was with the showers - they were very difficult to regulate- and I have Triton showers at home.

Everything was extremely efficient and immaculate throughout. We loved the pool and the surroundings as well as the proximity to Carsington Water.

The only little niggle we had was with the mattress on the top bunk bed in the family room. It was too small in width for the bunk leaving a gap between the mattress and the wall. I reported it before we left so hopefully will be resolved before next occupants arrive.

Great place for family or group to stay. Lendow cottage was warm and comfortable. We ate in most nights and it was extremely well equipped everything you needed. Dishwasher was so very welcome! Plenty of crockery and cutlery. The Knockerdown Inn was just a short stroll through the gate. Very welcoming and great food and beer.

missing a bedside table on one side of bed with plug for charging phonee. Could do with a few basics in kitchen like salt & pepper. But overall not much we didn't like!

Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and sofas, beautiful location, near to great pub and Carsington water. Loved having a games room and swimming pool to keep our son entertained. He loved the ping pong table.

An additional bedside table would be useful and a seat or stool at the dressing table with a lower mirror would be better. I had to stand to do my hair and make up. Some cushions on the sofa would make it more comfortable

The location and the pool area with ping pong table was great. Very clean and the children swam everyday. Plenty of towels which was great. Great location close to Carsington water and lots of towns. Great information provided

I always struggle with beds. The bed was lovely and spacious, plenty of room., crisp bedding.Not the most comfortable, ( I did have sore a back in the mornings)but certainly no where near the worst I have encountered . This actually says more about my back than the accommodation.

Our list are more points and suggestions rather things we didn’t like about our stay. TVs weren’t in all the bedrooms. And the tvs which were provided were incredibly small for eight people to huddle around of an evening. And the ones on the two Master bedrooms were ridiculously small so were never used. Although the upstairs space was generous, the downstairs living space wasn’t large enough for an eight person cottage, the dining table was so cramped that we had to take it in shifts to eat as we couldn’t fit around it at the same time. Would have liked more serving bowls and larger pots and pans to serve eight people, plenty of crockery and cutlery though! No drying space for wet towels. A business opportunity to have an onsite corner shop, we had to keep driving of site to grab things we needed. We would have liked to have had somewhere to sit outside of the cottage (due to the lack of downstairs space) to play board games together. We had a leak under the sink, but maintenance came out straight away when called and rectified the issue. The first night we ran out of hot water in two of the bathrooms, luckily the other two bathrooms had electric showers so the rest of our stay we played musical bathrooms! We felt that the bathrooms needed an upgrade, not just to ensure hot water supply but aesthetically. They didn’t feel luxurious compared to the lovely bedrooms.

We had a great time and the place is beautiful. The cottage was well situated. The communal facilities were great for families- games room and swimming pool were used a lot due to the poor weather! The location was good. The master bedrooms were very spacious. The bedrooms all had sufficient storage for clothes. All bedrooms had their own bathrooms. The heating system was incredible! Two towels each guest. Plenty of supplies such as bin bags, cleaning items. Dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, toilet rolls- pleasantly surprised! Although we didn’t use it, the bike repair facility was genius and we’ve not seen this anywhere else.

Showers were a bit worn and very little pressure. Very noisy with windows open at night from traffic. Play room facilities need refreshing, quite worn. Springy bed, mattress may need replacing but still comfortable.

The accommodation was great, only a few niggles. Clean, spacious, well stocked with items in the kitchen.

Not a lot. We were really happy overall. It would have been nice not to have had to pay extra for the pool and table football so that we could have used it when we wanted to like the table tennis facility.

Loved the layout of the house it was perfect for our family group. The pool was great and free table tennis was appreciated. Everything was super clean.

We stayed in 3 cottages. 4 bed Farwell and 2x2 bed Wisels and Ible. Group of us (14 - 11 adulrs, 3 teenagers) from all parts of country on a reunion. Absolutely amazing. Clean, comfortable , warm cottages. Felt high quality including bedding and towels. Everything we needed in the kitchens. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk , washing up liquid all welcome extras. Great location. Across the road (agree with warning on the gate to watch the traffic ) to Knockerdown Inn with lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, v nice Sunday lunch. 10 - 15 min easy walk to Carsington water. Pool and games room welcome addition.
