How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing, the stay was great.
Michael was really friendly, helpful and provided great knowledge for out stadium tour. I will definetely be coming back again, hopefully to see a game next time. There was good facilities, the rooms were a good size and decorated nicely. The bathroom was excellent.

Excellent location for Anfield, great view of the stadium, couldn’t have wished for better. Easy access to all routes. Large room with an en-suite right next to the kitchen. Good free WiFi. Drinks and breakfast available. Michael was an excellent host, friendly, knowledgeable and made us feel very welcome, easy to contact. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting the stadium. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Nothing, that I can think of, I can’t honestly fault it at all, perfect for my needs.
The Location is Perfect, especially if You are a Football fan. The Host, Michael, is extremely Friendly, and Very Helpful. Nothing is too much trouble, he obviously Cares about his Guests. The price was Great too, very Good value for money.

For the price paid, the accommodation was really good. Any Liverpool fan will appreciate location!
The location is opposite Liverpool Stadium. Michael was super friendly and always ready for our questions. A kitchen is made available for breakfast with Tea, Coffea and cereal. It has a microwave, oven and fridge. there is a small fridge in your room. Free Parking available on site

Still a work in progress
Michael, the owner, and his business partners have only recently taken over The Kopview, and it's obvious there is still some work to be done. However, the rooms are very clean, if basic. Breakfast is continental and self-service in a well stocked kitchen. Parking is free. It is just across the road from Anfield, and a 15-minute walk from Goodison (until theybmove anyway), so great location if you're just going to watch the football as we were. The lock on our room door broke, and even though Michael had had a very trying day at his other property, he acted very professionally. He had the problem sorted within half an hour and moved us to another room. He couldn't apologise enough.

It could have been cleaner.
It’s very close to Anfield. It took me only two minutes to get to the stadium. The shower is also new and clean. It’s good value for money. The host is also very helpful. He is quick to respond to your requests, and has a positive attitude.

External of the building is misleading to how clean inside. Internet was off and on.

Lovely host, big room and good location. There was a corner shop and take out shop just across the road. The hotel is litteraly just in front of the stadium which happened to have a game on when we arrived so all the streets were closed around the hotel. The owner was very kind and helpful and guided us to the hotel parking spot.

At that price....Nothing to complain about.
If you're staying when there is no football game... this place is outstanding value. Kitchen is great, bathroom sparkling new and the staff are really nice and 100% helpful. There's adequate parking and a bus stop outside. Would definitely stay again.
