I put my hand on top of shower felt electrocuted a bit.Renovate the place , so it looks modest inside like paintings , good floor

It’s an old building so it’s not the cleanest place but it was obvious they were trying hard to clean it. Spotted a rat outside the window on the bottom floor. Some unusual characters in the communal room but harmless and never tried to interact with our group.

The location is great. The bedsheets were very clean and beds were comfortable, they made sure to keep our group together in the same rooms with no other guests. The staff were friendly and easy to deal with. Great for large groups that will only be getting a few hours sleep after a night out.

The locker are way too small to put a regular or big backpack or even a suitcase ! The floors were a bit dirty, everyone wears shoes to go to the bathroom... The water in the shower is either scalding or freezing, and its flow is very (very) low. When I arrived, the sheets from the previous owner of my bed were still there...

The stay was cheap and the matress are really comfy ! The staff is nice !

The showers need seeing to. The temperature bounces between hot and cold during its run. The bed sheets could be less thin and grip the bed mattress better. But not a big deal. Occasionally there’s troublesome people but same issue persists in any hostel.

Nice reasonable price. Great proximity to the city centre (only 10 minute drive to Titanic quarter). Great selection of convenience shops and take aways around the corner. Cosy beds. Warm rooms. Great friendly staff. Nice kitchen.

the whole aisle were we stayed needed a new floor and a fresh coat of pain. The bed was of poor quality and was noisy. The room [with a double bed] was small but that was not much of an issue. There was noise from the traffic outside and from the ajoining bedroom.

The kitchen and the TV room [where you could find lockers] were fine. The staff was helpful. The place was kept clean, and kudos to the cleaning staff in view of the behaviour of some of the guests, and of the poor state of [some of ] the building. The location was good, the price very affordable.

Renting a bath towel would have cost five pounds (which is too much), the showers were not very private, and I felt as if I was bitten by a bedbug on my eyelid and finger… as well as on my wrist. Although I did not see any bedbugs when I tried looking. Most of the staff were very friendly, but one was not very friendly. There was way too much noise and poor behavior outside during the late hours of the night, on some nights, especially on Saint Patrick’s Day. I would stay again, but probably only for one or two nights. Oh yes, and most of the lockers were not working as they were supposed to…

It was close to some good pubs, eateries, the Botanic train station, and Europa Hotel.

The hostel was filthy from top to bottom. Not even the bare minimum of moping the floors to get the dust off was done. The beds and pillows were all stained and the bed frames rusty with dirt and dust residue all over. The top floor room was so hot we couldn’t sleep, we had the window open hoping to get some sort of airflow in but nothing seemed to help. The bathrooms were filthy, dirt all over the floors and walls, I was scared to put my clothes down to change. My partner and I left after 1 of 3 nights booked as we woke up feeling unrested, dirty even after showering and unable to step or touch anything without feeling disgusted. I would not recommend even one night here, spend a little more and stay in a way nicer place, not worth the cheaper prices. Plus you cannot get refunded even though we didn’t stay the 2 other nights we booked!

The location was nice as it was close to the train station and had many restaurants nearby.

-Safe storage space for my bike inside or at the back of the hostel- not in the rain. -10 minute's from botanic train station. -Tea, coffee, sugar and milk available all day. - Ulster museum (free) and the botanical park is only 10 minutes from the hostel. Excellent location and friendly staff.

The hostel was unclean and run-down. The beds were old, in poor condition and not comfortable. The sheets I was provided had been laundered but were still stained (I did not like to think with what). The place smelled of cannabis and I heard other residents state that this was being smoked in one of the rooms. The showers were abysmal - freezing cold with a single jet from a push button tap. The showers themselves were unclean and in poor condition

The price was very reasonable and the location was somewhat central with some facilities around. The staff tried to be as helpful as possible with limited resources.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hostel was far from pleasant. From the moment I arrived, it was evident that cleanliness and safety were not priorities. The hostel seemed to lack proper management, with a confusing layout that made navigating the premises difficult. One of the most concerning aspects was the presence of people living permanently in the rooms. This not only compromised the safety of guests but also created an uncomfortable atmosphere. The rooms themselves were dirty and cold, with broken lockers that were too small to securely store belongings. The bathrooms were unhygienic and lacked functioning lights, making them not only unpleasant to use but also potentially hazardous. Additionally, the smoking area was littered with garbage, further adding to the unsanitary conditions of the hostel. To make matters worse, the bed covers appeared to have stains on them, possibly blood, which was deeply unsettling. Overall, I would not recommend this hostel to anyone seeking a comfortable and safe place to stay. It is in desperate need of improvements in cleanliness, safety measures, and management.

The convenient location made it easy to access nearby attractions and amenities. Additionally, the hosts were welcoming and hospitable, doing their best to make guests feel comfortable despite the shortcomings of the hostel itself. However, these positive aspects were unfortunately overshadowed by the overall poor condition of the facilities.

Staff, location, beds, everything. Yes, toilet and showers not always clean in the evening but it is a hostel so that is not a problem
