The mattress was so old all you could feel were bed springs in your back. Unfortunately the oven doors main glass was not in the door so I couldn’t use the facilities to the max

There certainly were not too many drawbacks to our stay! Our key gripes were the lack of toilet roll and toiletries (the former was provided after we requested extra and we made do with what we collectively brought with us as a group for the latter). Otherwise if you're looking for a secluded and completely private cabin stay, this place won't be for you as the cabins are set fairly close to each other, but not close enough to disturb one another. Finally, it would have been great had we had some information on local walks. As guests who arrived via public transport we needed to go everywhere on foot during our stay so it would have been great to know about some known walking routes accessible from the cabin on foot.

The cabins were set in a beautifully green loch valley and had fantastic views from most windows. Morning coffees and evenings beers were very much enjoyed outside on the picnic bench taking it all in. The cabin itself was comfy with good facilities (TV, dining table, kitchen utilities) and was wonderfully warm even in mid-September as evenings were getting chillier. There was plenty of space for 6 adults too, and it was a great wee spot to spend a few days with walks and board games in the evenings. The staff were lovely and very helpful with our requests and the location was actually pretty good and really accessible via public transport (trains to Oban and easy/ well-priced taxis whose drivers all knew about the cabins). And crucially our stay was extremely well-priced per person with all of the above in mind!

The cabins are set in a beautiful and peaceful location. Good sized kitchen and bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. It was great to be able to self-cater and relax on the deck enjoying the unseasonably warm Scottish weather :)

We loved our stay in Lagnakeil. The cabin was really cosy and homely. The location was beautiful and less than 15 minutes from Oban.

Interiors were old. The toilet latch did not work. Had to use bottled water as the staff informed us that the water nay not be safe for drinking.

A welcome note including info about the accommodation and surrounding area would have been useful.

Beautiful location, close to Oban offering comfortable accommodation. The Barn restaurant and pub was within walking distance. The site was very peaceful with superb views and amenities were of a good standard. The hosts were very helpful allowing us to extend our stay at short notice.

Not all buttons at the remote control were working, the shower was very noisy and there was lack of lighting in bedroom No 2.

Perhaps a walk in shower would be better as the bath was quite tricky for kids to get out of after showering, but it wasn’t a huge issue. Also maybe consider having card payment as an option for laundry facilities as finding enough pound coins was actually quite hard as shops didn’t always have much change.

Set up was ideal for a short trip with family. Kitchen well equipped, beds comfortable and whole area was clean and of a good standard.

The WI-FI did not work and the TV was broken. A member of staff did advise us the TV was broken on our arrival and said someone would be out to fix it in a few days, I advised we were only staying 3 nights, to which he replied’ you won’t be watching TV anyway’ I thought that was an odd thing to say considering we had 2 children with us. There was no offer of a replacement which was disappointing.

Very clean. Beds super comfy. I liked how the host left towels, soap and dishwasher tablets. Things I forgot! Great location with superb views.

That we couldn`t take it home with us, have to bring an extra large suitcase with us next year... and a better car.

The help, the guys were always on hand. Car was giving me issues... drove it home without breaking down however. Also got a lift from the Clan Chief Lachlan Maclean up the Duard Castle, Mull. All round what a stunning place.

The bedrooms were much too small. We didn't meet our hosts at all, after calling with queries they could have asked if we were ok.

The views were beautiful. The location also.
