Room very basic. Could do with an update. Bathroom needed a shelf for toiletries.

Good evening meal and breakfast and easy to get to Edinburgh on the bus as it stops right outside the pub. Beds comfortable.

It was fantastic for most people having singing entertainment. Being senior I needed my bed so found it hard to sleep. My problem though, an asset to most people.

    Location. Exceptional food. Friendly staff.

Just stayed here for 4 nights, visiting the Edinburgh area. Room of adequate size, bed very comfy, nice shower, slept well. Helpful and friendly staff. Had daily breakfast there, three evening meals, all very nice and reasonable prices. Nice Italian restaurant across the road, had lovely meal there also. There is a bus stop directly outside, the No. 31 comes along about every 15 minutes, and it is the best, and easiest way to go into the city centre. The return journey is just as easy, withe the bus stopping directly opposite the pub. The motorway is just over a mile away, so it is very handy if you want to go visiting other places. Will definitely stay there again.

    no complaints from us

We got the last room which was a twin, nice and comfy (mattress firm, but that is my preference) breakfast was great, evening food was lovely, nice selection of beers and drinks - there are a couple of other places within 2min walk as well. Great bonus, bus stop right outside the front door and no31 takes you straight into Edinburgh.

It was very hot in the room, our fault as we didn’t turn off the radiator. Could do with a shelf in the bath room to put toiletries on.

Perfect location for visiting family member who is at Roslyn institute. Breakfast was excellent Staff very friendly and helpful

Not used to spring mattresses, but comfortable enough.

The room and toilet were very clean. The staff were polite and helpful. Full Scottish breakfast was very nice especially the haggis, which can sometimes be very strong or spicy.

The room was a little on the small side .but not à problem.

The hotel was well positioned for Edinburgh, had a bar and restaurant and also live music(not too loud) on Saturday night. The room had everything I needed for a short stay on my own with large smart TV. Staff were always busy but friendly and helpful. I did not sample the food but judging by the car park it must be good.

The room was at the front of the property ( previous stays have been in a room at the back ) and was very noisy and difficult to sleep from 6.00 in the morning due to passing traffic . Little that can be done about it but next time ill ask for a room at the back .

Breakfast lovely ,host fantastic ,always a warm welcome there . Rooms been upgraded since my last stay ,lovely new flooring ,staff always very nice and chatty .
