The room was too hot and bar service around the hotel was lacking. A beautiful conservatory and no waiters to take drinks orders or clear tables etc….gave the impression of lack of staff?

Getting food served in the brasserie didn’t work for me , staff were lovely but the space doesn’t seem right it’s at the back of the hotel.

The hotel is in such a lovely setting with beautiful grounds n gardens, it’s special because it’s all on its own with no other hotels around to spoil its charm.

The dining menus were rather limited and pricey. I may be out of touch, but £11.50 for the cheapest glass of wine seemed excessive. We objected to paying a discretionary tip for the room, and subsequently did not pay it.

Our room was clean and freshly decorated and furnished. The location by the lake could not have been better. Staff were helpful and courteous. We enjoyed the spa with its pool, sauna and steam room.

We had to have breakfast in the room as husband was unwell, ordered a basic breakfast which was lovely but a few things missing eg.milk for cereal, butter for toast . Very low toilet 🚽😵‍💫

Food overpriced for what it was, way more than we’d normally pay for similar quality Room very noisy, could hear everything on the corridor the room itself really let this hotel down in terms of decor and comfort, for the price I would expect much better Breakfast staff seemed as though they were all new, sat people down but then never took orders unless went and got one of them (saw happening at several tables)

The gym was a little underwhelming, the cardio machines were in perfect working order and the area was very clean like the hotel in general was, but the weight machine had clearly seen better days with one actually rusted in place - but not everybody goes to hotel to workout, just nutters like me. Dinner was beautiful, but felt we paid more for the presentation than actual food - which I will defend as very, very good, just felt it was not quite enough on the plate. Still, I would recommend it just to experience it.

Rooms were comfortable and spacious enough, as well as well maintained and clean (we even had our very own peacock strutting around the rooftop next to us outside of the window - my son called it 'Gerald.'). Food was to a very good standard. Breakfast was plentiful and well laid-out. We had dinner which is more to the high end experience and quite exquisite. Food presentation was very professional and the good was extremely well made and tasty. The spa facilities were very good too, area kept very clean and well-maintined.
