Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomWas waiting outside of the property for 30 minutes because the key code was not given at the time stated on the site. The only mirror is in the bathroom and there is a desk with no desk chair. The shower went from burning hot to freezing cold every minute so could not be used (without pain). The kitchen has a one cup and I did not see any cutlery so not very useful.
The bathroom is really clean and all the furniture in the bedroom looks modern. Good value for money.

United KingdomNo toilet paper. Mattress was dirty, stained and so uncomfortable. Bedding had cig burn in. Pillows aren’t pillows they’re like a sheet of tracing paper. Smelt of smoke constantly- maybe from other flats surrounding it? To be honest with some new pillows and a mattress and a new cleaner it would be a fab little place.
Location was brilliant. 10 mins walk from train station and then 10 mins walk to king power stadium. Check in situation was very easy. Ok for 1 night

United KingdomThe location was awful, constantly near fire trucks and can hear people coming in and out of the building can easily hear inside other flats. The beds were not comfy and noisy and we had to check out at 11 and some lady came 30 mins before to ask when we are leaving. The fridge wasn’t working very well and the cups that were provided was dirty. The tv also had no channels on it yoi can definitely find better else where for the price.

Germanyit was SO cold. I cannot recommend this appartment in the winter months. When I arrived the heater was off which meant the room was freezing cold. NO heater in the bathroom! Things were broken, mattress felt like a thin sponge. I slept in thick clothes and was still freezing. Glad I only spent one night there. I think it's a good cheap option for a short trip in the summer but nothing more.

United KingdomIt was very cold and took hours to warm up, went to bed with all my clothes on, jacket and towels over duvet, single glazed windows so be prepared, arrived to a strong smell of cannabis, shower room smelt very damp, fire alarms in drawer, hole in wall, pillow smelt of BO, other than being a great location to Leicester train station it’s hard to compliment it, the host was great on arrival, but I got locked out the next morning and couldn’t get in or only get hold of anyone, luckily someone let me in. It’s a shame really as it would be a lovely little place.

There was a slight putrid smell that hung in the air and refused to go away despite almost emptying a can of air freshener. The place needs deep cleaning

United Kingdom£100 deposit was required before we were given access to the room via private bank transfer. We had to wait for extended periods of time to hear about when we were getting the deposit back. The room was tidy but had an awful smell. There was only half a roll of toilet paper. The mattress looked mouldy and there was mould in the shower.
