No real complaints. The only slight negative was the cleanliness around the bathroom floor and windows. But everything else was clean!

Room was tastefully decorated and clean. Good wi-fi in the room. Kettle with tea/coffee and biscuits provided. Breakfast was superb - fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, cereals and good choice of cooked food. Owner was lovely - helpful and friendly

The host was incredibly friendly, and welcoming making my stay very enjoyable, it felt like a home from home. The location was perfect for what I needed, and the scenery surrounding this cottage was stunning. The lake was a stones throw away and at night every star was visible in the sky making this stay even more special for me.

had a lovely stay with a very welcoming host and lovely breakfast, B&B was close to the main attractions we went for, room was nice and clean with a semi-firm matress which I personally found very comfortable.

There was nothing I didn't like about the place. But advice offered don't go in the lakeside Hotel for meal and drinks unless you have a second mortgage.

Perfect location stone throw away from the lake. Fabulous hospitality and a cracking home cooked breakfast. Felt very welcomed.

We booked for a last minute night away. It was close to where we wanted to go. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The room had everything we needed. We would stay here again 🙂

The bathroom being down the hall was the only real downside of the accommodation but was clearly advertised on the booking page so can't really complain.

Visited the guest house for a wedding in October. Host was really welcoming and flexible (including accommodating us being about 2 hours late arriving), with comfortable bed and lovely breakfast. Host also helped arrange a local taxi, which was greatly appreciated!

Colin was a lovely and friendly host. We absolutely loved his breakfasts & fascinating stories. Was always on hand to help if necessary & has superb knowledge of the area & things to do. His mushrooms are to die for & would definitely recommend. Thank you again Colin :)

It’s a lovely cottage in a beautiful place and there’s parking which is not always the case in the lakes, the owner is extremely helpful and he does a fantastic breakfast

Would have preferred ensuite facilities in the room but that said, I'd stay again at the Landing Cottage Guest House.

Host was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The room was very clean and the bed really comfortable. Location was perfect and quiet so had a really good night's sleep.

It looked like a man was looking after the place. Just needs a womans touch.

Would not win four in a bed. the hotel was great and breakfast was out of this world. The owner was brilliant and very welcoming with a great manor.

Room could be cleaner ... in particular the skirting board and carpet behind the bed.. which is exposed when moving pillows. Black mould in grouting and shower seals in en-suite.

Loved the location. Room was well heated and fresh towels put out each day. Good breakfast, friendly, helpful and informative host.

Landing Cottage has a great atmosphere and it's really well located . Colin is an excellent host ,very helpful and looked after us well .The price includes a full English which was also excellent. We highly recommend.

Bathroom might need some updating. The access to the road could be a bit tricky as you cannot see the passing traffic and no footpath - but Colin is happy to support and then there is no issue at all.

I had a comfortable stay at this classic B&B, a warm welcome by Colin, who is very friendly & helpful. The location is really nice in walking distance to the lake and the jetty for cruises on Windermere or across Fell Foot. The room was spacious with its own access, nice & bright. Bed was comfy and everything is provided what you need with tea & biscuits. Breakfast was a good start in the day. Would like to stay again.
