How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Perfect location. It is very close to the train station but do not be put off. The windows are doubled up so you can’t hear anything. I always stay at Leonardo hotels and never have a bad thing to say about them.

The Hotel location was central and 15 minutes walk to Queen St train station. The room size was generous and clean. Staff were very accommodating Ava’s friendly

It was all fantastic . So can’t find a fault . Any where .

Room service was very expensive and with the prices paid for the room in advance felt I had to go elsewhere for more affordable food. Also, bed sheets were stained on arrival.

The noise from the railway when the window was open. I knew it was next to the station when I booked and I also know that I would have got used to the noise if I was staying longer. It would not stop me coming back.
The location in the centre of the city. The hotel was clean, modern and very comfortable.

-Jamaica Street isn't the best area. The hotel is a gem among the rest of the street. Not an issue for me but a consideration at night. -My main complaint is the staff member checking me out just took my keys with no conversation, no thanks, or no how was your stay? etc which I found odd given the high level of service that had went before. I felt she let the team before her down. She also seemed annoyed I wanted to leave an additional bag into the luggage room which shouldn't of been a massive issue. As stated a very out of keeping moment as the rest of the staff could not of been more helpful including in the bar. -View was overlooking train tracks. No issue for me but a consideration for you. Very little noticeable noise from trains. -Toilet beside the bar was out of service so it was a short walk to the lifts and up a floor. Hopefully a temporary issue.
-Fantastic Value Upgrade (£15 a night to an Exec Suite) -Most of the staff were fantastic (see negatives) -Big TV well positioned in the room which is rare. -Fridge in room -Complimentary items were excellent -Clean -Free WiFi -The bar had good atmosphere -So many other things but probably linked exclusively to Exec suites. -Room to Store your luggage. -Bed was big and comfortable

Reception staff were very welcoming and even upgraded our room and offered free breakfast for my son's birthday. Room was nice and clean, hotel overall looks great and perfect location.

The location was perfect. Right in the city centre. 3 minutes walk from a bus and subway stations that would take you to pretty much anywhere in the city. The hotel was right next to central station and 10 minutes walk from queen street station. The staff were friendly and the hotel offered express check out. The room was big and very clean. The bathroom was big as well, had a bathtub, and was clean.

Very attractive room, comfy bed, staff all friendly and helpful. Good buffet breakfast. Our room had a view of the trains coming in and out of Glasgow Central station which was novel.
