We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe restaurant was a bit cold when we sat by one of the windows on the first morning the next day we sat near the centre and it was fine. And the location wasn't great, (we had a view overlooking the shrine where the poor schoolgirl was killed) but that's Croydon for you, hardly the hotel's fault.
The room was spacious, and spotless when we arrived. The staff were excellent - nothing was too much trouble. My husband asked for an extra cover for the bed (he feels the cold), and they brought it up to the room in about ten minutes.

Ideal location for rail travel into London. 10 minutes to East Croydon Station. 15 minutes to London Bridge 30 minutes to St pancras Station. Less than 10 minute walk to the Fairfield Halls. Staff were friendly and welcoming, even the cleaning ladies.

Germany- Aircon did not work - no fridge in room - although I changed the booking well in advance from 3 to 2 nights, the hotel still insisted that I had to pay for 3 nights (including breakfast).

GhanaObnoxious reception staff who behaved like robots in refusing to accept payment with my Visa card because the amount was calculated in my local currency and not in British pounds! It was a foreign exchange transaction and I was bemused they were not educated on this fact. After an exhaustive 10 hours flight it was really frustrating to come across this administrative gridlock and there was 2 hrs of back and forth conversations with a silhouette manager somewhere who finally asked the ignorant receptionist to accept my visa card. And even when I offered to pay cash, the reaction from the reception staff was apoplectic. Cash payment was illegal and completely outlawed by the Hotel. You bet I am going to post my experience on social media

The room was lovely and so were the the staff. We ate at yhe restaurant for breakfast and for dinner and each time the food was lovely, breakfast time some of the food ran out and was not replaced for a while but other than that it was very nice. Would definitely stay again

United KingdomIn our room the heating didn't work, the staff were very good in finding a stand alone heater very quickly. Did not like the pillows, they were too hard for me, my husband was OK with them.
The parking is more secure, parking at the Ruskings car park. the breakfasts have got better since we stayed last time.

On 2 visits same member of reception didn't prep our door keys properly - up and down from 9th floor, and one of those times we were given the wrong key card's number which let us into someone else's occupied room. Also we had trouble with the heating control and the room was a bit cold. I did mention this to reception. Other than that, rest of the stay/staff was great.

United KingdomCleanliness could be better. There was fluff and what looked like a pubic hair on one of the pillows. And a brown stain on the bath curtain that I’m choosing to believe was make-up rather than something more awful. And what is it with hotels never having mirrors with decent lighting suitable for putting on make-up?! I think what I paid was a little more expensive than the quality I got.
Bed was comfy. Good location for connections being 5 minutes (ish) walk from the train station, and tram and bus stops nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful.

United KingdomI didn't enjoy the location much as it is very far away from central London and it takes about 1h to get there. In the room the heating didn't work as much as I wanted it to and was limited by the hotel which was uncomfortable at times.
