Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Comfy room decorated sympathetically to the area and building. We'll equipped. Road quite noisy but not unbearable. Parking was OK but can see it might be trickier the later you arrive.

United KingdomThe stairs are quite steep to the rooms so take it really easy. This property will be unsuitable for wheelchair users but the cafe accommodated to a wheelchair user Friday morning breakfast!
The room was a very Good size, the bathroom was very modern and fitted 3 people in the shower (1 not so small adult, tall man and a toddler). The bed was really comfortable and we all slept well. Our room was above the cafe so once it is closed our 3 year old was running in the room (as toddlers do) we caused no disruption for noise downstairs so that was really good. In good location for train station and Cadbury even with me with limited mobility. People who worked there were really friendly and the breakfast in the cafe was brilliant our son loved ice cream on pancake for breakfast and they accommodated for a change in my breakfast very well. (I don't like warm tomatoes so I have mine raw) the coffee is really nice. Decor is very cool. The cafe users were really friendly.

United KingdomWiFi didn't work as it didn't reach to that bedroom. It worked out in the corridor but that's not very useful. Its 2024, please sort that out The towels, although clean, were very rough. Very steep stairs to get in but we knew that from other reviews so it wasn't a problem but don't visit if you have mobility issues.
It was quiet, comfortable, clean and homely. The old fashioned furniture and tea cups, etc were clearly deliberate to get the period look which we appreciated. Don't expect a modern feel. The beds were comfortable, the shower was good and even though it was only a few degrees outside in February, the room was warm enough as it had two radiators which were giving out enough heat. There are three coded locks to get in for which the codes were sent by text and email in good time. We were happy with this arrangement.

United KingdomNothing.
The room was lovely. The guy who runs the cafe downstairs was very friendly and helpful. The room was a great size for the price. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Unfortunately we were in Birmingham for an operation at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, but the location of our overnight stay was perfect. Your place was great value for money and we liked the quaintness of the building.

United KingdomThe stairs up to the room were quite steep and narrow but manageable. Apart from meeting a member of the café staff on the one day we had breakfast, we had no contact with anyone - neither staff nor other guests. Entry to the room was via a gate and 2 doors, all with coded locks. The codes were sent by text message on the day of our arrival. It was all a bit impersonal but at least there was no problem in gaining entry late at night. Breakfast is not available on Sundays and a breakfast basket in the room can be arranged on Mondays when the café is closed. We went elsewhere on both days.
Good location on a quiet residential street. Room was quite small but sufficient, clean and comfortable. Price didn't include breakfast but we paid for breakfast on one of the 4 days in the café downstairs (linked with the B&B) and it was reasonable, though limited to just one cup of coffee without paying extra. This venue is recommended if expectations are not placed too high.

United KingdomNothing not to like. Small suggestion would be to notify guests of check in arrangements prior to arrival as I had to message day before to find out procedure. Not a big problem as message was responded too quickly.
Really liked our stay here. Rooms tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. Quiet location. Great shower, nice towels. Generous hospitality tray with tea/ coffee selection & some tasty biscuits. Even included cafetiere and filter coffee which was definitely appreciated! Codes to rooms provided prior to arrival - all straightforward. Would definitely stay again!

United KingdomThis is the second time we have stayed here. It's warm, clean, comfortable and value for money. Last year we stayed on a Friday and the breakfast in the Cafe was lovely but the cafe is normally closed on Sundays so we were sad to miss it this time but the double\twin room had a small fridge which proved to be very useful. I would thoroughly recommend this bed and breakfast.

United KingdomLighting was motion sensors and as you come out your room it takes a while to trigger which means you are very close to steep stairs. Would have liked a bag in the bin and hairdryer in room. And WiFi not very strong for smart TV. Also not local to food places unless you take the car out in the evening and loose your on street parking.
