Really well built , comfortable , very well equipped pods in idyllic setting, hosts were friendly , and extremely helpful in suggesting where to go and what to do. We loved our visit.

It was all good!

Very well constructed lodge. Despite some strong winds and snow during our stay, the lodge was cozy and the underfloor heating was effective. Lodge was well equipped and the owners had left some typical Orkney produce for us on our arrival. Great location for exploring Orkney. Very flexible hosts, accommodating late change in booking due to disrupted ferry travel. Looking forward to a future stay.

The induction hob did not work and the shower was either too hot or freezing cold. It was difficult to regulate.

The magnificent view, plus it was well equipped. The space in the lodge was fully maximised.

Lovely location. Very accommodating host. We found the bathroom a bit chilly, apart from that everything was excellent and the dogs loved it. Beautiful location

The shower head kept falling. The key lock box was difficult to open.

Cabins are lovely and cosy. Views are incredible.

Wasn't a lot of room for dog bed when sofa bed pulled out.

Extras were lovely like a ball and biscuits for the dog. Was really clean and having bins on site was good. An outside tap might be a consideration to wash dog bowl etc instead of using the sink.

Mosquito nets for door and windows would have been nice - it got so hot inside we needed to open them and the beasties found their way in.

Beautiful views, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and sofa bed. Also clear instructions on how to get to the (remote) location and how to get the keys. But in the end, the best of all was just lounging on the balcony looking out to the sea, with the only sound being sheep baahing around us.

The list of don’ts and warnings was quiet long and didn’t make us feel welcome especially as there was no personal contact during our 2 day stay that could soften the communication.

The tabletop of a very cheap folding table inside the lodge was completely loose. Since we never met the landlords we couldn't tell them about the problem. We tightened all the screws ourselves. We didn't change the bulb on the wall lamp that never worked though- somehow not our job to check the premises. But still I would go back there.

The lodge is very nice and clean, in a quiet place with a lovely view. We could often use the garten table outside. It is very well supplied for 4 persons, a prime example of glamping. I confirm that the lodge is made for max 4 persons. I would go back there.

Very well equipped and cleverly designed pod, which was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Lots of nice touches, clearly a lot of care has gone into the set up.

I would say the only thing I didn’t like was not something I expected really, just something I really wished for, a nearby laundry facility... There appeared to be one and I thought “oh thank goodness, we haven’t done our laundry in over a week and we have just done a lot of hiking and we’re running out of clothes that don’t stink!” But it was locked and I think it was only for the use of the cleaning staff and owners. I think it would be a wonderful perk to have it available to guests of the cottages as well!

The cottages were perfect, and a great value for a family of four, we didn’t even feel too cramped, because we really love the concept of tiny living. :-) The location was awesome, views of water in front of you and lush green hills dotted with sheep behind. I will say, though, I was a little nervous as we drove up to the place on rough roads in the middle of nowhere, but it was like a paradise, really!

The lodge was well equipped and pretty much had everything you need. Maybe some hooks to hang coats under the Tv where you come in, for when its wet (as it is a lot in Orkney), and a drip tray underneath to catch the wet and place wet footwear, would be helpful. That way you could keep this beautiful, clean and utterly cosy accommodation nice and clean for the very helpful owners.

Location was beautiful, set up on the hill, with trees (always a bonus in Orkney) Well positioned to enjoy all the places of interest in Orkney and an easy drive to the main town of Kirkwall and ferry terminal. Love the decor and beautiful smell of the lodge as you walk in. Although these lodges are a cosy size, our party of 3 adults and dog settled in very easy and comfortably. Loved the bathroom and shower with on demand hot water, so no waiting for the water to heat up for the next person. Oh and the underfloor heating, so warm for cold toes.

Honestly, this was the most amazing place i’ve stayed in. myself and my partner agreed staying here made our holiday so so much better. highly recommend.
