I'm from York but wanted accommodation for a friend visiting the city. Convenient location-centre of York. Comfy bed and nice decor. Did the job perfectly 🥰

2nd floor onto of pub, but clientele very quiet! Beautiful Riverside location easy walking to all tourist destinations. A little shabby (stained carpets, scuffed furniture, lampshades and skirting boards dusty) but overall a great place to stay, staff very helpful and would certainly return. Kettle with tea and coffee provided, also ironing board and iron. No hairdryer so just remember to bring your own!

The radiator was broken, Thus couldn't turn it off. Made the room very warm during the night.

Brilliant location and very good staff. Clean and tidy. Bathroom, with a modern shower room and a size.

It did mention in the blurb about possible noise in the evening and Lil's pub shuts at 9pm. However, next door's pub has later opening and there is a night club three doors away with music until 2 am. ( This was on the Friday and Saturday). Its not a problem if you are out and about late yourself but for an earlier night's sleep to be mindful.

Location was ideal to get into heart of York and sightseeing. The riverside views lovely. There was facilities for breakfast next door, but we went elsewhere for a cheaper alternative. The staff were cheerful and helpful anytime we had a request i.e.no lift to the bedrooms so the staff carried up the suitcase.

Some Shabby furnishings (torn curtain, frayed towels) and feeble WIFI (couldn’t stream video, iPlayer or Zoom at all), two broken bedside lamps, breakfast irrelevantly late (from 10am?). One totally quiet night but one noisy one until 3am (obviously not the fault of the staff, but worth thinking about.

Good double glazing, good size comfortable room, with a big wardrobe. Great location for station and town centre. Pleasant view of the river.

There were cobwebs in the bathroom above and over the extractor, they had been there a while

Although apparently new, shower cycled between cold and too hot, which made showering tricky. Drinking areas downstairs on mid-summer's eve posed usual problem: open (excellent triple-glazed) windows and loud noise, or closed and stuffy.

Very clean, spacious bedroom and en suite shower room. Central location. Friendly service.

The room was quite stuffy, although there was a fan. It was explained to us beforehand because of the lack of windows, the fan may be required Also there was no shower gel or soap for the shower.

A little expensive for 1 night, would of expected breakfast included for the money you pay. Tv kept losing signal and going fuzzy

The initial room was very disappointing but as soon as was possible they moved me into a much better room.

Our room was awful... we had no windows and no air con so it was like sleeping in a box - very uncomfortable as it was very hot the weekend we stayed. if I would have known it had no windows and no air con i wouldnt have booked it. Maybe we were unlucky with the room that weekend.... but sadly we wouldnt stay here again as the room wasnt great at all.

The location was great and the food was great too. The 15% off all food and drink was good too. The staff were really lovely.

It was noisy until about 1:30am then I was woken again by a street cleaner I think it was at 4:50am and I found the pillows a little hard for me personally
