Couldn't book any treatments as spa treatments fully booked. Told should have booked a month ahead for those, bit disappointed.

Friendly staff, clean comfortable room and the dog loved her treat pack and a great breakfast choice.

The rooms were incredibly hot - don't bring your winter pjs! The thing that marred it slightly was receiving a text message early on in our stay reminding of us check out time and that we could not use facilities after this time.

The hotel was beautiful, all the staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast and dinner were delicious. We also enjoyed using the swimming pool.

The Breakfast was overpriced for what you got. Not much to do in the way of walks! we also did not like the fact that they have cone cardless.

Dinner was to be served in another building, with need to go outside, which was difficult for us. However, the staff quickly arranged for our meal to be delivered to the bar to solve the problem.

Excellent breakfast. Staff extremely helpful and considerate.

The room was tired, very worn carpet and broken chair, the building interior that I saw didn’t feel luxury at all, particularly the pool changing room. Perhaps the more expensive rooms had a different feel. Would have provided this feedback at checkout if I was asked how my stay was.

Lovely grounds, nice pool. Sauna and steam room a great bonus and nice and clean. Very comfy bed. The member of staff on check in was lovely.

Room was very tired. Beds far too soft. Several obvious issues in the bathroom - dirty tile grout, mouldy sealant, lifting paint/sealant, cracked tiles, flickering led lights (when warmed up). You have rats hanging around the food delivery/loading ramp probably encouraged by the litter piling up in the vicinity. The 'pub' has low capacity based on the number of rooms meaning it was impossible to get a meal. The restaurant was closed 'because of insufficient customers' on the same night. Is there a reason for the 12 sleeping policemen on the entrance road and 6 on the exit? Puddles in the 'car park'. No pedestrian pathway between car park and main entrance.

Food was excellent. However, serving toast before cereal and cooked breakfast meant it was cold by the time it was eaten.

The rooms a rundown and there was mould/dirt in the bathroom. The extractor fan didn’t work, and the shower kept going from warm to dangerously scolding without warning. The mattress was very saggy and offered no support. The Spa is very small with only enough loungers/beds for a handful of people and guests had left old towels all over so was hard to know which where free. Breakfast was priced at £24 PP for a full English (only 1 of each item). There was an extra charge of £5 on top of the £24 for eggs Benedict so £29!

    The location is stunning

There was no lighting outside at the front of the pub. My husband has a neurological condition which means he needs good lighting to keep his balance so this was a big problem for us.

Food was really good both in the restaurant and the Linden tree.
