How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

This is an excellent property for a trip to the North Coast. Superbly located, it has a lovely outlook over the golf course and a view of the sea. Inside it was extremely clean, comfortable and well-equipped. We were a family group of 8 and had ample space. Maggie was a really helpful host

Just the weather which was very wet at times.
Location was very good. Close to all tourist attractions and within walking distance to the centre of Portrush.

I just wasn't sure of how it worked with keys etc bit simple you have to tell me like when u arrive key will b here u do such and such a thing if u know what I mean.But all ended good.
It was lovely to b with family,Maggie was lovely on phone,place really good,live portrush. GODBLESS MAGGIE FOR HAVING US.XX

The only complaint is time went too quickly and we had to leave !!
Well equipped apartment in perfect central location. Spotlessly clean with lovely warm homely touches. Views are amazing and we all instantly chilled out as soon as we walked in. The host Maggie was fantastic and more than helpful. - would definitely recommend for family get togethers!

The links vista Royal was a beautiful apartment so clean and tidy. It is walking distance to the city centre and I would definitely stay again.

The only downside is that hat there is no lift to the apartment, it is up two flights of stairs. We managed ok but need a few fit people to carry luggage, groceries, prams etc up the stairs.
Great location, great view from property. Apartment was very clean, had everything we needed, lots of space inside, layout very suitable for a family, quiet area, plenty of free parking, within walking distance of the beach, shops and restaurants. Host was very responsive when communicating with her. Would definitely stay again.

There was nothing we did not like. The shower in the bathroom would benefit from a non slip mat to make safe the slippery surface (not a complaint just an observation).
The location was in a quiet corner of Portrush but with easy access to the town's facilities. The property is also within easy walking distance of the golf course at Royal Portrush. Have rebooked for September visit.

be prepared that you need to climb two flights of stairs to access the Apartment
perfect location for golfers. when they are not playing golf they can watch other people play golf! very comfortable apartment with everything to hand. well equipped kitchen just around the corner is the rathmore GC. they serve a great glass of Guinness.

The apartment was fabulous!! Very modern, exceptionally clean, fantastic view over the golf course. Nice and warm! Everything we could need for our stay, beautifully decorated, lovely cosy throws. Maggie our host rang me on the morning of our stay and was very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be booking this apartment again!!

The accommodation was well furnished and felt like a home from home. Would comfortably accommodate four couples. Maggie checked that all was okay on the evening we arrived. Would thoroughly recommend staying here if you are looking for a base on the North Coast.

Great few days at Links Vista. Beautiful apartment and plenty of space for big families or groups, nice view of the golf course and the beach to the left. Most definitely will stay here again in the future. Host Maggie very helpful and responded to messages promptly. Great stay overall.

The apartment is in an excellent location overlooking the golf course and a short walk to the town centre. It was extremely clean with all the cutlery etc that you would need. Would highly recommend.
