Okay, but disappointing for reasons given above

Location of cess pit too close to the house. Smell compromises enjoyment of patio. Lethal steps to patio need replacing. Property looks rather tired and in need of refurb and some maintenance. Over complicated email arrangements to get things put right. Simple phone call should be enough. I see repair requests over a year old have still not been actioned. eg finger breaking action needed to open and close ill-fitting doors and locks to outside.

Good location for our holiday needs

Enjoyed a pleasant stay, but could do with a little TLC.

The blinds in two of the bedrooms need to be replaced as they do not stay up. One of the TVs in the bedroom didn’t work. The small rugs around the place are a little tired and could do with being replaced. Although they stated that all the bedding needed to be placed in black bin liners( apparently provided) before we vacated the property none were provided!

Kitchen was spotless and well equipped. All the beds were lovely and clean as were the bathrooms. Quiet location. If you visit in the warmer months it would be lovely to sit outside in the peace and quiet.

Whilst this property suited our short visit, it was clear the heating had only just been switched on as the house was distinctly cold. It took over 24th to get the cottage warm, even using the extra oil heaters. For a winter booking please heat up the house early! Also the hot water was erratic, especially in the evenings - when taking a shower before bed the water was stone cold. Perhaps the water is on a timer? It needs to on constant. Sadly, also the property smells damp and musty - in the hall and sitting room. This made using the sitting room unpleasant. Two of the under cupboard light bulbs had failed and not been replaced. Another had failed in the small tv room. Potentially this could be a very pleasant cottage but I cannot recommend it for a winter visit. Shame.

Good location for our visit to Dartmouth.

Problems with door locks, broken blinds, cracked windows, chipped glasses, faulty en-suite shower, few slightly shabby furnishings and the smell from the ‘treatment plant in the evenings, also the property was hard to locate as it has no sign outside and is at the end of a very narrow lane.

the space, the bathroom, the well- equipped kitchen, the location, thoughtful details in decor.
