Management and cleanliness

It was our second stay but this time was not as enjoyable when we got there there was about 20 people queuing to check in the new booking system was useless people that had paid in full where not allocated rooms they had two lines one for people who booked days ago and new booking they just sent people from one sue to the other the woman trying to sort it was from housekeeping no sign of a manager it was only my suggestion of instead of telling people who didn’t have bookings give the names of those that did the que started going down it’s a shame because it’s a perfect placed hotel but is getting very run down and there just didn’t seem to be organisation from management the cleanliness needs attention and rooms are looking run down

We booked expecting a games room for my teenage grandson but unfortunately this was being renovated at the time. Also there wasn't a quiet bar where we could have a drink as a family .Also one small lift for a hotel that size!! I know it was not in high season but had we known earlier we probably wouldn't have booked. Bathroom was in need of renovation but could see that work was being done in the low season to upgrade facilities.

The rooms were clean tidy and warm . Bedroom was newly carpeted

I didn't like the balcony/windows not opening but I suspect this will be the case as in most hotels these days for the future.Hope not though.

The room was clean and bright with a lovely sea view. Comfy bed ,great shower a bath. Pretty spacious. New carpet too . Since I last stayed ,2 yr ago the hotel has improved alot ,bn updated . Room was terrific value . Newly refurbished bar was nice too. I enjoyed the entertainment as well. Staff friendly an jolly. I ve already booked my next few days here in April.

Position of the room

Unfortunately our room was next to a fire/exit door so everyone had to pass through it to get to their rooms, making the room very noisy and i had a terrible sleep.

Unfortunately in 2 of the rooms the electricity went off 5 times this was very inconvenient as happened when getting changed for evening party also electric was off again at midnight when returning to the rooms night porter had to come and fix yhe problem also o very hot in one room no valve on the radiator so like a sauna. We only stayed one night if we were staying longer I would have asked for different rooms Was clean and beds were comfortable

Location was fine and enabled us to get where we wanted I booked 5 rooms and 4 were on one floor and one on the floor below which wasn’t a problem

Hotel an staff were excellent,only things were shower plug full of hair an paid for Seaview room but literally cannot see thru glass as every pain on doors that dint open either has blown so it's like frosted glass,the veiw would have been lovely so this was really disappointing but we would 100% come again if this problem was sorted,also no mirror in room or plug in bathroom so nightmare for girlfriend getting ready

WiFi arrangement. My son paid £7 premium for 24/hr WiFi access limited to 1 device in room. The activation code did not work, attempted to contact the third party provider with no avail. The hotel staff tried to contact also - without success. No refund was offered at any point either. Seemed like a money making scam to encourage internet use in downstairs communal areas -WiFi use rooms above ground floor - forget it.

The fact it was freezing no heating even though staff said it would be on by 6pm as it was being reset so froze all night..

The sounds overnight especially the the wing was blowing through the bathroom tub holes which was very disturbing. Lack of balcony was bad . I only booked this room because I thought to get a balcony room . But it was sad that you didn’t allow us to open balcony door.
