How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Didnt have breakfast, but the evening meal was very good and a great variety. Staff went above and beyond to help. The TV was not working in my room when I arrived, so I was changed to a different room for the night and a new TV was put into my room for the next night. I thought was very nice of them to do such a thing for a guest.

The floor of the dining room really needed sweeping/hoovering up. The tables were sticky and needed a good wipe over. Breakfast was good but the room conditions were a let down.
Pub food was fab!

It was a bit dull and dingey and in need of some tlc. The floors were sloping upstairs ( but that's to be expected with the age of the building.) The bathroom window overlooked the front parking area, and they weren't very private.
The beds were comfy and the WiFi was good. The staff gave us some fresh milk for our tea, which was great. The breakfast was good. It was a nice, quiet location.

Some of the decor is a little tired, but still excellent value for money.
Great to know that the staff knew about the pre-arranged safe bike storage. Really helpful staff. Good hearty breakfast. Excellent location. Excellent value for money.... would happily use again!

Some indication of love music you could hear in the room. Not a huge issue as I don't mind music but would have been nice to know when booking

It's in a strange location right next to a large Tesco's although that didn't really cause a problem. But the photo makes it look like it's out in the country. The whole place could do with updating and the general decor and feel was a bit shabby. Although the shower was OK and had got hot water there was no hot water in the tap from the sink. The room sloped noticeably. This has to be expected in an old building but it was weird.
It was a decent location for where I was going in the morning. Nice big car park. The bar staff who checked me in were very helpful and friendly. It was very quiet and I had a good night sleep

Unfortunately due to an early start 7.30 I was unable to have breakfast on the Sunday day one and on day two I almost missed breakfast because I wasn't told where it was - in the restaurant which I did not know about. The lady cooking breakfast came out to find me as I was waiting in the bar - better info when checking in would have helped
Great location, the room was clean and tidy, had good tea/coffee making facilities. Meals at the bar and breakfast were substantial and well prepared - great pub stay.

Room 7 is right above the bar, we wanted an early night as we had plans the next day but we could hear everyone below, especially when coming and going.
Food was lovely, nice setting, room was comfortable. My partner loved the 2 resident cats which were very friendly.

The lady in the kitchen was really nice as I wanted to rush off she made me a bacon and sausage sandwich to take with me really lovely staff as was the Yong man when we arrived who gie us our room keys lovely and friendly

Bar area quite dark &, although tables had been cleaned, felt a bit sticky.
It was conveniently situated. Friendly staff, nice space outside to sit and eat. Comfy & clean bedroom & bathroom with nice view over the garden. Food well cooked and promptly served.

Good value for money, clean and tidy but some areas are a little tired. Excellent potential if they want to take it to next level.
Location was great as only a small drive from the Royal Welsh Show Ground. It was comfortable, had a good bar, had good food to finish our day off. Was good value for money and a good breakfast. Had time to explore the local area, lots to see, nice walks places to go, fantastic views.

Location, room and bar were all great. Very busy with locals and residents but plenty of staff working so didn’t have to wait long to be served. A large bar menu to choose from and the meals we ordered we throughly enjoyed. Excellent value for money for bed and breakfast.
