A wonderful peaceful place to stay, very good for your mental health. The suite was beautiful, the grounds and views superb and the owners were excellent. There is an excellent pub and a narrow gauge railway a mile away. A gem.

    Nothing.

Isolated, with elevated views. Interesting restoration project. Tasteful and appropriate decor and colour schemes. A decent size bathroom and shower. Large bedroom.

There’s nothing to not like. You need to visit with an open mind that the hall is in the middle of restoration but instead of being an inconvenience this adds to the charm of the hall.

This is a little gem. The work that’s been carried out by Ben and co is amazing. Ben is extremely friendly and his enthusiasm and passion for the hall is contagious. Definitely well worth a visit.

Nothing ..the fact that the mansion is gradually being refurbished after tens if years of abandonment adds to its character.

Good welcome from Ben, impressive mansion in parkland, incredibly spacious and tastefully furnished suite...separate lounge, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.

The towels and bathroom toiletries were good quality, but I personally would have liked a bath sheet as I find a bath towel a tad small, but that's only a minor point.

The location is amazing and the views from our room were stunning. We loved having a log burner in our room, and we had our own entrance, so it felt private - it was like having an apartment, not just a room. The hall is undergoing an exstensive programme of renovation to bring it back to its former glory, which might put some people off, however we felt priviledged to be witnesses to this grand hall's epic journey of renovation. The shower was great, and all bathroom facilities were clean and modern. Our host was welcoming and clearly passionate about the project. Llanerchydol offers a relaxed stay, where we were free to roam the beautiful old building and grounds and we look forward to visiting again to see the work progress.

The facility is under restoration and some common areas are still needing improvement, but there was no construction or disturbances from this. The rooms are renovated and decorated to an exceptional standard, it was a nicer room than any hotel I have stayed at.

The location was convenient to the rail station about 10 minutes and they picked me up. Ben was so friendly and welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. The grounds and the garden are lovely and I was able to walk into town which was a bit of a long walk, but ideal for me. Very calming views of the sheep in the fields and pheasants along the way.

I wouldn’t describe this as things I didn’t like about the property, more thoughts of what is to be. The owner is in mid renovation of this very large historic building and grounds, which didn’t disrupt our stay at all. We will, hopefully, revisit one day to appreciate it’s full potential, grandeur and beauty.

The owner, Ben, was very friendly and most accommodating, offering us a drink on arrival and an invitation to the main house’s huge lounge. The suite was very comfortable and warm, despite the miserable weather outside; we both slept very well. There was a plentiful supply of hot refreshments in the room and a cooler available. We were offered the use of the main kitchen, again huge, but chose to eat a takeout from the local pub which we both enjoyed.

What a stunning house! Llanerchydol is full of history mixed with ultra modern amenities. We were warmly greeted by Ben and his handsome dog, who gave us a tour and let us chose which room we would like. The bed was so comfortable and the bath was the biggest I have ever seen.

A five night stay without a kitchen was a little inconvenient but apparently there will be a kitchen soon.

The location was beautiful surrounded by pretty landscape and sheep wandering about. It was winter so it was a little chilly but it was like going back in time staying in a grand house. Just one mile from Welshpool but a world away!

Llanerchydol Hall --- Good Stay ---

Location is breath-taking. We were met by Ben on arrival who took us to are room ( more like an apartment ) on arrival. He was very friendly and helpful. We had asked for two continental breakfast as they do not provide cooked. The breakfast provided was enough for fuelling us for the day. The room was value for money for the size and lactation. If you want to stay near Welshpool we would recommend Llanerchydol Hall . We stayed in autumn with the start of the changing seasons and it is a beautiful location. In the morning we took our dog for a walk around the grounds and she was able to have a good sniff. Powis Castle castle is within ten minutes drive and worth a visit. We would like to go back and stay again. Thanks
