The Clansman restaurant, serving as the surrogate for their hotel restaurant (for anything other than breakfast) is not up to the same standard.

The area is heavy with tourists, but this is a private oasis from all of that. Beautiful rooms and pleasant and always helpful staff. Loved the view of the lake.

We stayed for a few nights here during a multi-week stay in Scotland and it was by far the best hotel and sleep we had during the trip. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower had good pressure. The view is the highlight and you can't beat it. I would recommend staying here on the Loch Ness over nearby Inverness. Graeme was absolutely fantastic, friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations for nearby food and activities. It was extremely accessible to the nearby adorable town, Drumnadrochit, as well as the city of Inverness. It was also a great base to explore the Cairngorm National Park where we spent a day. Would be thrilled to stay here again!!

The bed was too soft for my liking.

The location was splendid. The lodge faces Loch Ness and the surrounding garden was exceptionally well kept. The room, Assynt was spacious, faces the Loch and had a really luxurious bathroom. The staff, Graeme was friendly, professional and made us feel very welcomed.

We would change nothing.

The property is smoothly run, very welcoming, and extremely comfortable, all in a stunning location on the Loch. The hostess, Kat (Cat?), greeted us warmly after our last-minute booking and got us situated in a nice large room with a beautiful view of Loch Ness. The bathroom was also large and spotless, and had both shower and a nice tub, which we appreciated after having been paddling all day. Having left our power adapter at the previous hotel, Kat offering us a loaner was clutch. The property does not do dinner service, but is convenient to a good restaurant in the Clansman, and when we returned, Kat lit a fire for us in the cozy sitting room and gave us a menu with local beers, gins, and an extensive Scotch list. I believe she was around until around 10pm, so not a late night hotel bar, but certainly a pleasant night cap. We slept very well in the comfortable bed, and enjoyed an ample full Scottish breakfast and crepe-style pancakes before disembarking.

The mattress was older where you could feel the springs. not the most comfortable.
