Nothing to dislike

Beautifully maintained and very clean. Booked a single room but was upgraded to a lovely spacious double. Fabulous finishing touches such as real coffee and fresh milk and cookies in the room. Large bath towels provided which is a rarity. Breakfast great choices with excellent coffee. Great value for money and would definitely book again if visiting the area.

There was nothing at all that I disliked; everything at Lochinver was above and beyond my expectations as a last-minute booker. I had a wonderful unexpected night in Ayr thanks to the guesthouse, and hope to come back in the future!

My stay in Ayr was originally unplanned, but due to a missed bus connection, I required lodging for the night; Lochinver and its staff were exceptionally welcoming despite my last-minute booking, offering a lovely breakfast the following morning, and the room itself was gorgeous and incredibly comfortable. Lovely music and decor around the lobby area as well!

The Lochinver Guesthouse was beautifully decorated in a tasteful old style. We loved seeing how our host preserved the integrity of the historic building in the way he maintained the property. Breakfast in the dining room looked so lovely on the Blue Willow china, but we had to hit the road early. Would stay here again!

I felt that a 3pm check in was late considering check out was 10:30. We travel a lot visiting places in the UK(you can request earlier but it's £10).This hotel although lovely was one of the most expensive for one night and we spent the least amount of time in the room. Generally, check in is at 2pm and check out 11 everywhere else. Breakfast is often on till 10-10:30 everywhere else as well and here 08:30-09:30. This is ok mid week I guess but I'm sure we're not the only ones who want a couple of drinks Saturday night and would really like a lie in on a Sunday morning.if you're an early riser then it's perfect!

The location of the house is perfect and the interior is gorgeous too. The owners were lovely and breakfast was one of the best we've had whilst travelling .

No complaints!

I have stopped here before, and think I was in the exact same room - a small room in the attic, though nicely laid out. The house is beautifully maintained throughout. Spotless, comfortable, with good wifi. I paid for breakfast which was large with plenty of options. Quiet though central location, with easy access to shops/bars/etc. Lots of attention to detail, like providing fresh milk and a tea-pot, plus a selection of teas.

The Property, the Room, the Facilities, the welome and courtesy of the hosts, the cooked breakfast and the overall value for money were all absolutely exceptional. I stay in a lot of places for work each month and I can tell you this is one of the very best.

Options on TV could have been better. For example, with the correct and cheap hardware, I could have cast a movie from my iPad to the TV

Sinclair runs a very professional guesthouse. The property is amazing, and everything was perfect. He has clearly put a great deal of thought into guest comfort and needs. The breakfast is highly recommended. Thank you for an amazing stay. I will definitely book there again. 😊

An enjoyable and relaxing stay on a quiet little street handy for the centre of Ayr. Delightful building and a very comfortable room, with the bonus of some lovely raisin biscuits in a jar by the coffee.

Loved everything ,beautiful house,lovely clean rooms,teas, coffee (fresh milk !),biscuits, water (still and sparkling) all in the rooms. Great breakfast. Location not far walk to the beach one way the town another way. Definitely recommend a stay here. Nice friendly helpful hosts. Thank you for a lovely stay oh and loved the tartan carpet.

I can't fault Lochinver.

Every need was catered for in the room with some lovely touches such as ground coffee for a cafetiere and fresh milk. Breakfast was superb.
