Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI have stayed a number of times, the decor is getting tired as you enter, in places the wood need attention. Price is rather high compared to other places I have stayed like Horse guards.
Great historic Position, great to use as a base to walk, tube or train to all key attractions.

ThailandThe soap holder in the shower room is too small cannot contain the shower gel and shampoo together.
The breakfast is good but it is not buffet, so you need time to spend. The location is excellent you can see Big ben in the breakfast room. Bus stop locate in front of hotel and subway (tube) is not far away (5-8 mins walk).

United KingdomWe didn't use the pool as there were no changing rooms nearby and we would have needed to have changed in the room and walked to the pool in dressing gowns. There were lots of builders and plumbers about and it looked like they were refurbishing the spa/ pool facilities so will defintely revisit when this is completed. I did use the gym which was well equipped but I believe was not the usual room for this purpose.
Every member of staff from the concierges to cleaners were friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely with a mini bar (which wasn't listed on room facilities) and had a view of Wesminster and Big Ben which was an added bonus. When the receptionist knew we were celebrating our anniversary she arranged for a bottle of bubbly, balloons and card to be sent to the room which was a nice surprise. Breakfast in the Library was excellent and on the second day we have a window table with a great view of Westminster Hall (near the fireplace) All in all a lovely venue and we took advantage of the Theatre in the County Hall building showing the Agatha Christie 'Witness for the Prosecution' which was great fun.

United KingdomExcellent location, beautiful decor. Friendly staff. Sachin at the reception took care of our booking very well. We stayed at Marriott for our son’s birthday. Sachin visited our room with complimentary drinks to make the occasion special. Good breakfast, however kids would have liked buffet more than ala carte menu.

United KingdomCheck in was a little protracted… The mini bar was warm . Bed was firm No room service menu in room, in fact room service was almost kept a secret …strange Breakfast was delivered to room in paper cartons in a paper bag ? Not what I would have expected and not at all the way other rated hotels do it. It was however tasty and reasonable value for money. The main courtyard entrance is a wonderful peaceful space but is used as a loo by taxi drivers…maybe they should be permitted to use the facilities inside ? Ashtrays on the outdoor tables would be very welcome by those who prefer not to litter the floor.
Fantastic building, clean and in good state of repair , central location with a great view of the city. The glass of wine with check in was appreciated as were the sweet treats in the room. Great tea and coffee in the room.

United States1. Received conflicting information from 2 front desk staff members regarding being able to cancel breakfast /executive lounge package. I had to eventually elevate my issue to management and received partial return of what I was told would be a 100% resolution. 2. Front desk staff scheduled my Afternoon Tea in The Library, but when I showed up, The Library had no record of it in the system and seemed a bit bothered that they now had to prepare a place for me. I was eventually seated and enjoyed my time with good service, but it was a disappointing start to my evening.
Location and comfort. Room was great and the view was amazing! Majority of staff was helpful, friendly and efficient.

United KingdomEnjoyed our stay thoroughly. Fantastic location, walking distance to so many attractions and resturants. Bright and very clean swimming pool, opening hours from 6am to 10pm, which is great for morning workout and soak in the evening after long day out. Compliment to the staff at the entrance and front counter. I was late in returning to check out, contacted front desk to inform that i was lost and will be delayed. They are very understanding to grant complimentary extension, for which i am most grateful
