Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAircon had a fault which made it very noisy. Too hot when I turned it off. The iccupant in the room above mine was pacing around until 2am - noisy because of creaking floorboards. The end result of both of these points is that I didn't sleep much.
Good location, reasonable price and very friendly, competent reception staff. Good size room with decent bathroom.

CanadaWe didn't have breakfast so we cannot comment about that. As is so often the case in London hotels the shower/ bath combo requires good mobility to get in and out of the shower.
This is a lovely little hotel where I could find no fault...a rare case in London hotels. The room was clean and bright with a modern bathroom with shower over tub. The AC worked perfectly and there was a small fridge in the room and space to hang up your clothes. House keeping was pleasant. They came if you requested and didn't disturb if the sign was on the door. There was always someone helpful on the front desk and the small elevator was functional for the entire visit. The hotel itself is on a very quiet street about a 10 minute walk to the tube on Earl's Court Rd. This area also has most of the amenities you might require. We were there for 12 days and we would definitely return.

NetherlandsKeep in mind that it's still some distance by tube to for instance Piccadilly Circus (Piccadilly Line, 25 minutes) or Buckingham Palace (District Line 25 minutes).
Hotel in Kensington. Very good! Not too far from the tube (Earl's Court). Rooms, beds, breakfast (continental, for English breakfast there is a charge of 7 pound) and service are excellent. In neighbourhood are some pubs, furthermore restaurants and fastfood. High Street Kensington and Kensington Gardens also not far away (10 - 20 minutes walk).

United KingdomThe radiator in the bathroom was not working, we told the staff about the inconvenience and we were given a portable electric radiator, which unfortunately couldn't make very warm. It may happen and the staff tried to fix it as they could on a Saturday night, but perhaps a thorough check of the rooms before the guests check in is needed. Also, there was poor room-to-room soundproofing, and we were also next to the floor WC accessible by any guests or staff. The bathroom's window curtain hadn't been cleaned in a long while.
Very nice staff, available 24h a day. The position is good, both to be reached by car (just out of the London CCZ) and to reach the main attractions, with less than 10 minutes-walking distance from the nearest underground stations; the area has also many restaurants, pubs and cafés. The beds were comfortable, the room was provided with mini-bar and tea/coffee pot.

United KingdomThe room was very hot, I had to put the air conditioning on in February, but it was ok. The pipes did make quite a lot of noise when flushing the toilet, and the noise from the hallway was quite loud at times but none of this impacted my stay.
The staff were lovely, the receptionist was really friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, with plenty of storage space, tea and coffee facilities, a tv and a small fridge and the bed was pretty comfortable. The heat of the shower was good and the room was very clean. The property itself is on a quiet street in between Earl’s Court, Gloucester Road and High Street Kensington, so there wasn’t much noise from outside. There’s an elevator, which is always nice to see in a London hotel.
