The breakfast over the road in The Bold was a shambles. We waited 40 minutes for coffee and I had half my food missing. They said they were bringing the missing food and some brown sauce and it never came to us. However, this was not our hotel directly. I would just say, go somewhere else for breakfast.

Staff went above and beyond. They have been amazing accommodating everything we wanted. We have had a lovely stay and the room itself was so comfortable.

How booking.com think it's ok to pick rooms in the hotel for the price when they do not fill the standards of the room paid very poor service.

After being given a awful room which although booked as a superior king we where originally showed a room with a single small window a double bed and a single bed in a very dark room tiny bathroom small tv which couldn't be viewed from the bed not a superior king room at all .. once I addressed this with reception who informed me booking.com had decided this room was adequate for the $150.00 + price paid which it was not at all we were given a different room by reception. Which was exactly what we should have got originally but witha really nice view overlooking the front of the hotel as a bonus made our stay that bit more special stayed in the hotel a few times and this room was 1 if the nicest we had stayed in so really a big thank you to the hotel and very poor service from booking.com

Only a small thing but my deluxe king room only had a double bed not a king bed. Next time I'll get intouch with the hotel before hand and Try and request one. As I know they will accommodate you if they can. They are very helpful

I had another wonderful stay. Customer service is always fabulous here. Rooms are always beautiful too. Keep up the great work

staff were amazing, not in any particular order, chris night porter, jade on reception very helpful, tibu restaurant, grace n amazing young lady restaurant manager, liv, very amusing. micheal, this young man brilliant, can step into anything and resolve, house keeping, would marry them. staff were trained impeccably

Bar area could be very noisy , it was pretty boisterous when we were there and that was a Sunday !

Our room was on the third floor but the lift only went to the first floor, so we had to lug our suitcases the rest of the way up two narrow stair cases. This would be ok for younger people, but at 71 years I found it difficult. Breakfast was in it's sister hotel across the road from this hotel.

The room was very nice and the hotel facilities were good.

We were above the bar area and on one night ,not weekend, the noise was loud and continued untill 12.20am. This spoiled our stay. We were assured this was not the norm. Our room was 110 you can ask for a quieter room if wishing to stay at the lovely hotel.

The hotel was lovely the staff were great and very helpful. The location of the hotel is good on lord street close to the town centre. The decor in the room was tasteful and the bathroom had a big walk in shower. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Maid service made the beds and changed the towels daily.

The bed was far too hard and all 4 pillows were very lumpy and very uncomfortable. Far too many emails from the second I booked the room. States parking is on sight but don't get told there's a charge till booked. You do get a discount to £8 for 24 hours for staying at the hotel but then get charged a extra 20p for convenience. Items cold and missing on the breakfast on the first day. Told the girl serving who asked if we could speak to her manager as she was worried about to being shouted at and crying again by the chef.

Great location. Room was big and modern decor. Great breakfast on the second day unfortunately not on the first day.

Only downfall but wouldn’t change our stay is the rooms are roasting even when turned down or off but other than that we still slept well.

We have stayed a few times first 9 of us then 6 of us it’s fabulous!

Pillows could be firmer

2nd time we have stayed, we got a deluxe king-size room and bed was great. Room was spotless, reception staff on check in was lovely. We paid for breakfast at the bold for the next morning as an extra on check in, it was lovely. Location ideal. No noise issues as our stay was mon & Tues. Shower not very powerful but enough to get a shower. We had a lamp not working and house cleaning brought a bulb straight away, but found that it wasn't the bulb. On our return to the room it was fixed, all staff we met were friendly.
