The TV couldn’t get any signal/wouldn’t show picture or sound and there was a draft from the windows - this wasn’t too bad as the room itself was quite warm even with the draft.

Convenient location and very nice room - had everything you need for a short stay and was very comfortable! Earplugs provided for noise but the noise level wasn’t too bad - just traffic really.

Kettle didn't work and after a good drink we needed that morning coffee. The bathroom was really boiling the heating was too high in there , everything else was fine though

Great location, lovely little find. Nice clean room and comfortable bed. Easy check in and out . Would stay here again. Yes its near the tram station but we didn't mind any noise, ear plugs are provided but we didn't use them.

Pity they didn't do breakfast. Heating on a timer so cold in the afternoon, but nice and warm at night and in the morning.

Excellent location. The back room with balcony is very quiet. Very clean and although room quite small it had lots of storage.

Fabulous location in a lively part of the city. Great for getting to the arena, only a short 5-10min walk. Arndale Centre accoss the road too. Pub staff extremely friendly & welcoming, will definitely stay again. Thanks for a great night, we loved it 👍

Great location for travel I.e. tram & bus as there right outside the property. 5 minutes walk to the shopping centre if fancy that thing. plenty of bar/pubs/eating places to go to in area

The only negative was that the room was quite noisy - no noise at all from the pub but just the trams, buses and taxis outside. However we were in a very central location - with great bars and restaurants nearby - so the city noise was to be expected

We arrived on a very hectic day and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room smelt fresh and clean and was very comfortable for our needs, nicely laid out toiletries and fluffy towels

This is an old Manchester city building with quirky features directly opposite Victoria. Stairs to the rooms only, a separate secure entrance, Pub downstairs. I stayed in a single room for one night, the room has no window but that didn't bother me, I just needed my head down after a gig. The bed was so comfy! I slept better here than I did at a branded hotel in Leeds a couple of nights previously. Yes there are tiny (and I mean tiny) snags in the room but this is not a complaint, just an honest review. I paid £100 less than I would have elsewhere for the eventual opening of the co-op live and I'm so pleased I found it. I'd definitely book again. I can't fault it!

Straight away I felt comfortable, lovely welcome from Carla. My room was perfect for my stay . Lovely and clean and comfy . Close to the tram to take me to the ao arena and station which was ideal .

Room 5 is probably the smallest room you've ever stayed in. Unless you've done time. No window. Poor mattress. Terrible bathroom, with no venting, cracked tiles and looked grubby. OK for one night but Mrs M would have divorced me if I had brought her.

Superb old school pub. Location. Room 5 is quiet, but probably because no other guests on my night.

My room didn't have a window but this was not an issue for me since I only needed a place to sleep in order to discover the surroundings and I could prepare a coffee in my room in the morning

A cozy place & pup and very friendly people and for me the ideal location to explore the Northern Quarter of Manchester, attend nearby live music gigs and visit locations like the Withworth Gallery, Manchester Museum and the Manchester Art Gallery.
