Lovely venue - a bit of a different stay to a boring old hotel in a very well appointed beach hut

Not so much that we didn't like - but people need to be aware its a 20-25 min walk from hengistbury head car park with whatever you are bringing with you and the car park charges 24 hours a day.

Superb location. The hut is very well kitted out with everything you need for a stay. The hut is facing the sea and has a great view of the Isle of Wight. Lots of good information before you get there and a nice place to stay particularly off season.

Nothing. We took a collapsible trolley to transport our things from the car park to the beach. So keep in mind that you have carry what you need.

Fantastic location - once you got there. It is a bit of a walk which were warned about. The walk itself is pleasant. The beach hut is lovely with everything you could need. Toilet and shower block are nearby. There is also a bar and food outlet a few minutes from the beach hut. Had a lovely evening watching the waves.

Everything was so well done and have zero complaints. Just wish they’d advertise what’s in the hut, as we took stuff we didn’t need as it was there already.

Really nothing to dislike, maybe the walk to the hut (25 mins) if you are carrying a lot of stuff but getting in makes it all worthwhile.

Beach Hut was exactly what we wanted for my wife's 60th Birthday. She has been wanting to stay in a beach hut on the Spit since she was a young child visiting grandparents in Highcliffe. Facilities are excellent, gas cooker with grill/oven, kettle, running water, condiments and all the cutlery and crockery you'll need. BBQ facilities available but probably better in the summer. Upstairs was very cozy and comfortable with 2 double mattresses available. Views from upstairs and downstairs are wonderful, with Isle of Wight straight ahead on the horizon. Although very cold and wet outside, once doors closed it was amazing how warm the hut is. Couldnt have asked for a better night.

It does get very busy on a summer weekend. The overnight parking is 20 pounds and a half an hour walk. But it is very much worth it.

Location location location. A unique experience…. Wake up to the views. The neighbours were very friendly too.

stated small freezer compartment for small bag of ice, so we bought a bag, but sadly there is no facility there any longer

very comfortable beds, had everything we required for a very enjoyable stay. views from the hut were amazing. Quiet, unspoilt beaches with silvery sand and dunes. Just perfect for getting away from it all.

The nearest toilet block was closed so it was a bit of a trek to use the toilets. The land train and ferries stop at about 4pm at this time of year, so it is a long walk back from the car park if you go out somewhere after this time. But with a hut this beautiful why would you want to go somewhere else?

The view from both the front and back windows is stunning. The oven, hobs, water and electrics all worked well despite its remote location. Its just a great place to spend time and relax.

The price was pretty steep, especially the £50 cleaning fee when you need to bring all your own linen and towels, and obviously leave as you find. The access to the hut is also a bit tricky with a wall to climb over. Not easily accessible for older people. Also the closest toilet and shower blocks were out of use so had a slightly longer walk to the nearest toilet block.

The beach hut was lovely and location on the beach beautiful. Literally a stones throw onto the sand. Was a bit of an adventure to get to, a lovely walk from the visitor centre - or ferry ride.

A small heater for chiller nights.

The beach location was beyond words. The accomadation was so well appointed. It didnt give that impression in the description. All the household items was there and lots of equipment for the beach . I knew as i had visited before, but useful tips. There is a mile walk from the car park. The postcode covers the whole bay so ensure you head for Hengistbury head vistor centre.

Lovely to go back to basic and stay in this beautiful beach hut. You only need to bring bed linen and you're set. Loads of stuff to keep the kids occupied. It's right on the beachfront and 2 mins walk to the cafe. Highly recommended and would love to stay longer next time.
