Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandNothing, this property was exceptional.
Just back from a stay at this wonderful property. Everything was well explained by Jeremy in advance and the house itself was well situated and like home from home. It was a fantastic property for a family of 4. Very happy indeed!

United KingdomNot much we didn’t like and these things are small house-keeping requests: would be good with a couple more tea towels, a cloth to wipe surfaces. Shower tray fills up quickly and the location of key box is quite awkward especially for middle aged ladies with dodgy knees!
The property was comfortable, felt like a home from home, a great place to relax after a full day of walking and sight seeing. The kitchen was well equipped for a few days stay. It was good to have washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc… We were very happy with the location everything you could possibly want in stones throw away. Neighbours were friendly. Parking was £13.50 a day 9am-9pm and just around the corner at Eton Court.

United KingdomThe heating wasn’t on when we arrived so the house was freezing. It didn’t warm up much whilst we were there unfortunately. Some of the lights were out on the stairs so that was a bit dangerous.
difficult to open the lockbox as it was at a very awkward angle.

United KingdomThere were no instructions on how to work the heating so we were cold and the shower didn't maintain temperature once you were in. I did email the owner about the heating however who called me to explain but I missed the call unfortunately.
Fantastic location, nicely decorated, comfortable. Great spot for exploring Windsor. Well equipped kitchen, just missing tea towels.

United KingdomHeater. One of the night was so cold. Could not find where to on heater. However, there was a portable heater which solve the problem of heating one room after another.
It was easy to locate from the train station where we stopped. 5 minutes walk to Windsor castle. I love the cleanliness of the house. The kitchen well equipped.

United KingdomI only marked the house down as the shower didn't drain properly, resulting in the water going all over the floor. We had to mop up every time or have very quick showers/turn off when washing hair etc.
Beautiful house in an amazing location. Fully equipped and it was lovely to have some milk available.

United KingdomMy biggest complaint is the 10am check out. We travel down to Eton for a family party that had been postponed for over a year. It was a late night for my wife, son and me and being out of the property by 10am was a pain. Had I of know at the time off booking I would’ve probably chosen a different option.
The property was excellent but cold when the evening came. Location could not of been better and the parking space is a must.

United KingdomOnly one thing and it’s just down to preference, I found the table and chairs in the kitchen a bit of a pain, I personally think you would be better without it as it would open up the kitchen and give more room, we enjoyed sitting in the dining room on the lovely dining table and chairs.
Absolutely loved this property, wonderful little house, excellent position. The owner made it very easy for check in and was very friendly on the phone.
