Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomShame about the hot tub is not working. The wooden boxes and other things were dumping behind the lodges.
Comfortable lodge. Felt like a home. Good WiFi and Netflix. So peaceful and quiet at night . Good sleep. Few minutes drive to the lovely village and people are friendly. 20 minutes drive to Cardiff city centre. Like to stay there longer but the price. If you go there on road, you will see there looks like road work, A48 and see the radio tower before that turn and see the sign ‘Dent Wilkin Farm’, follow this sign

United KingdomWe were in cabin no. 8 which overlooked the industrial section and cafe so there was not much privacy if sitting outside so some sort of screen would have been welcome.
Our dog was made very welcome which was lovely. It was a very comfortable log cabin to stay in. Roomy enough for the 2 of us and pooch to not be tripping over each other. We had a great stay and will happily return when we're in the area again.

United KingdomJust some VERY small points - would have liked a little more outside light. Its VERY dark at night and if you take a dog be aware that its not enclosed at all so you need to have a very well behaved dog or keep it on a lead. the road down to the lodges is currently unmade but the owner tells us that this is due to change shortly with a fully tarmaced road through to the A road.
Unexpected location but everything was catered for. Very quiet location, a little remote but that worked for us. The lodge was lovely and everything that we needed was there. Excellent temperature, parking was great, shower room amazing and constant hot water. the host was on hand for any issues.

United Kingdomdecor and style is lovely and number 8 could be a stunning cabin, but sadly it’s tired, has broken equipment and generally unloved. No towels, t towels or washing up liquid. Don’t be caught out if you’ve booked. The welcome pack even said they were supplied. It comes across as uncared for and more money making than pride of site. I could list all wrong and have left a list for the owners. We did speak on the phone re towels, but he was disinterested. Also knew it would make no difference when you read his replies to any complaints. Quite a tone to the replies. we left early . Could be an amazing place, it requires finesse and care.

United Kingdomi couldn’t believe the number of cobwebs inside the property, and they were covered in dust as well, so not new. I really hate spiders so it made me feel quite uncomfortable, especially in the bedroom where the bedside light lit them up (not the lamp - that had no bulb in it!). Most of the kitchen equipment had to be washed before it could be used - I am sure the last guests’ doing, but it had not been checked. also, the windows were filthy, which spoiled the view. I thought the standard of cleanliness was really poor for the price. the oven door doesn’t shut properly either, and the hairdryer was missing. it was nice that the beds were very comfortable, as was the sofa.
the location was nice

United KingdomCould have easily scored 10/10. It is advertised as luxury. However the oven did not work. Not very luxurious. We phoned the number in the welcome pack. However it did not work. Then asking around the next day, only to be send from person to person. Eventually getting in contact with someone. They were going to fix the oven within an hour / two. This never happened. Even though we were told someone came to fix it. Never happened. We ended up spending loads of money eating out, as we could not cater for ourselves in the self catering. It would have helped to get a sincere apology and some discounts. But nothing… In the end we feel that it is run as a business. We were just someone staying, they get enough money in. Not really bothered about our inconvenience. Take our money, move on to the next people. Let the money role in.

United KingdomThe path and the road down to the cabin is a very steep hill to go down and to come back up again I would 100% advise a 4x4 or an suv as the pot holes and the gradient is daunting our sat nav couldn't find the cabin but we managed with the huge mast we aimed for that and then it was easy to the gate but other than that it was beautiful scenery with perfect views of the horses it's quiet and very peaceful
We loved our stay it was a short stay we wished we could've stayed alot longer the cabin was amazing it really was luxury well worth all the trouble it took us to get here the staff were fantastic when we arrived 2 hours later than we expected we called Mike and he was so sweet and was very inderstanding 1st class and we will 100% be coming back
