How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing at all we went like about the property only thing I’d say is the 10am check out was earlier than we would have liked. 11am like hotels would be better ☺️

Amazing location, right in the centre. Property very well appointed, larger in reality. Everything you need plus more. Parking not on site but very easy to find and very near the property

The bath in the on suite was difficult to use, in clear how to properly fill. Had to use the detachable shower head
The location was fantastic, centre of town and minutes from Shakespeare's birthplace and the royal Shakespeare company. The bedrooms were comfortable. The bathrooms were good. The kitchen is a great size. The living room was large and comfortable.

Key collection was from the garages area behind a different block of flats a few streets away. Felt a bit unsafe as a woman on my own. Ok in the day but I wouldn't want to go there on a dark winter evening alone. Needed earplugs to sleep but that's because of the central location and it was fine. Remember no lift here so don't bring a heavy case!
Very central very spacious. Nice decor. Comfy bed.

The awkward arrangement for unloading luggage due to no parking facilities close by. Then a 10 min walk to a car park which was chargeable.

Security man at the jewellers was very rude when we stopped to unload cases etc.

En suite shower floods over onto bathroom floor. Air conditioning so you can have the windows shut as noisy at certain points through the eve.
Fabulous flat, very comfortable and great to ge able to come back in the eve and just relax and watch films with friends and be sociable rather than staying out for the sake of it. Great location . Very well equipped.

The bed in the non on suite bed room was very comfortable apart from the duet had a rather noisy covering (sounded like crisp package) so had to remove the duet from bed. Dry food in open packaging was left in a selection of cupboards in kitchen
The apartment was spacious and perfectly situated.

the stairs were hard work but we did book a 2nd floor apartment and were aware that there was no lift
we liked everything from location, cleanliness and the home from home standards

There is a lockbox to leave the keys in...unsure why this can't be used to collect the keys but collection this time was a 2 min walk around the corner from the apartment.
Location is great and the apartment has everything you could want.

Couldn’t fault the property at all.
This is a great modern apartment it has everything in you’d have at home. It’s so handy for everything we stayed for a week and although there is no parking at the property the marina car park was only £20 for a week which was perfect for us to come and go as we pleased. Would definitely recommend it.

Can be a little noisy at night. However we did stay when it was very hot and needed the windows open. A fan would be good for warmer weather?
Great if you want to be in the centre of things. The apartment was modern and well equipped. Plenty of space for 4 adults.
