We stayed in a cabin close to the road, it was old, smelled of mold and in desperate need of refurbishment. Would be good to air out the rooms a bit before guests arrive.

The area was absolutely breathtaking. The views, the walks, the calm, the stunning loch right across the road... It was perfect for relaxing and taking in beautiful views and getting closer to nature. The small village close by (Aberfoyle) was lovely, after a walk in the forest we spent a large portion of the day just there.

Stayed in a lodge excellent location but lodge was very dated in need of a refurbishment. Freezer didn’t work and really smelt of damp.

The property unfortunately is very outdated and desperately needed refurbishing, half of the appliances were out of order including the dishwasher and the lights came off in the kitchen halfway our stay. We didn’t bother to complain as we spent little time inside.

The view was facing the lake and it was spectacular! The location is beautiful! There is plenty to do around the location! We were driving around and hiking!

One of the main reason we booked this place was a swimming pool. Unfortunately, it was out of order for the time we stayed there. We were offered a free entrance to a swimming pool somewhere else but that was literally miles away. so bit of a disappointment for the kids.

We like the resort and our apartments. It looks a bit dated but it was clean, lovely balcony and nicely equipped kitchen. Two bathrooms which was a bonus when you are travelling with the kids. Breakfast was decent.

The silver birch lodge was musty, mouldy and dark. It smelled like old musty carpets. I recommend you pull up all the carpets and lay tile or wood/linoleum to avoid mould and musty smells. The furnishings were very dark making the interior quite depressing. Also worth putting in an extra couch in the lounge, not enough seating space. And breakfast at the Garden Room was expensive and not very extensive, but helpful staff

The setting was lovely, as well as the pool and sauna. Food from bistro was good too

The apartments we’re old fashioned compared to how more modern the rest of the hotel was. Could do with a freshen up, curtains, decor & kitchen units. The beds we’re hard, so after 3 nights had a bad back. The restaurant near the pool was a bit odd, no atmosphere but the waiters & food was nice.

The setting & location was amazing. The main hotel was great, nice bar & restaurant. The pool was great.

Very very dated decor. Like stepping into the late 1980s. Staff were pretty slow even when things were quiet. Some facilities not maintained eg tennis courts. Looks like it was a grand hotel 30 years ago and has just gradually faded.

Amazing views over the loch. Extremely spacious apartment with big terrace. Nice landscaping. Dog friendly.

There was no oven tray for cooking in the oven. The apartment could really do with an upgrade. The changing rooms , showers and toilets in the leisure centre really need updating and smelled really bad.

The temperature of the pool, size of the pool and depth of the pool(having the same depth all over) was really good. Staff at the leisure centre were nice. The gardens are lovely. It is in beautiful surroundings and benefits from the water activities at the bottom of the drive. The size of apartment was good.

The pool was freezing. So was the jacuzzi. We were in one of the cottages and a mouse ran through our room during the night but the cottage was right down where the mice would live.

Lovely resort in lovely grounds. Lots of walking and right next to the Loch. Food in hotel was lovely (not cheap but it was a treat).

Apartment was traditional style which suited area. If you like more modern accomodation, it may seem dated. Everything good quality though. Restaurant quite expensive but good.

Food and alcohol prices were too expensive and meant we were unable to spend much time in the hotel. £10.50 for a glass of wine and £6.50/£7 for a pint of lager. We were in an apartment so ended up buying our food and drink from the Co op in Aberfoyle and sitting on the veranda. Apartment very spacious but older decor

Damp smell in both bedrooms. Damp marks on ceiling. Some areas around lodge were tatty e.g. metal fences propped up against the walls by our entrance, bags of laundry hanging around outside our lodge for days. The tennis courts need attention e.g. no net/broken net and resurfacing is required. Playground needs a bit of TLC. Meals, drinks and snacks were extortionatly priced.

Location was amazing, staff were friendly and helpful. The balcony was great and the views from the hotel were spectacular. Beds were comfy and the grounds were well kept and beautiful.
