Steve and Jane were very kind and helpful giving information about the accommodation the small town nearby and local restaurants. The property is located in a beautiful place with an amazing view. It was quiet but not too remote, Beds were very big and comfy and the whole property was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was excellent and a proper portion for hungry travellers. We really enjoyed our stay and we can absolutely recommend Maes y Gwaelod.

I did not like that I had to go back home...

Everything was perfect: location, hosts, breakfast,room, facilities. They gave me a handwritten paper with instructions on how to get to a beautiful lake nearby and introduced the horses to me too 🥰 thank you so much Steve and Jane for everything 🙏🙏🙏

It's like visiting old friends, very warm welcome and helpful information for food places, road trips and more. Bikes parked in the shed and hosed down like the horses before. Excellent breakfast made to order.

The location was stunning. The house was beautifully decorated and furnished. The room was extremely comfortable and the hosts were so welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was excellent and cooked superbly to our tastes.

Absolutely nothing it was a great all round experience, couldn't have asked for more.

The staff were very accommodating of our requests and extremely pleasant to interact with. The location was lovely and quiet with a glorious sky view at night. A truly lovely spot!

Not that I didn't like it, but the breakfast could have been better (for me) - I'm vegan (mentioned and acknowledged in the booking) and the options were very limited - fortunately my wife wasn't with me this time as she would have found it very frustrating and disappointing. What was provided was very well cooked and the portion size was great, just a bit limited in choice. Having said that, the non-vegan friends I was with enjoyed their breakfasts.

Easy to find, off the beaten track, yet close to the village Owners Steve and Jane were very friendly and accommodating. Spacious room, not too hot considering the outside temperature, Very quiet area.

Steve was an excellent and gracious host. He took good care of our party of 7, making arrangements for our dinner, packing our lunch, and even showing us the horses. Rooms were neat and tidy.

No real negative points

Great location and a fab breakfast, my two lads loved it and nothing was too much for Steve. Room was spacious and and there was two TV's in our room which was great as the kids could watch their stuff on one and we could see the other! Overall an excellent place to visit and stay would recommend to anyone looking for a quality b&b.
