Loved every second our stay at Maesmawr hotel from start to finish. Beautiful grounds, beautiful scenery. Lovely old building with lots of character and charm, but with great modern facilities inside. The rooms were absolutely impeccable. Clean, well equipped, very comfy beds, hot showers, great facilities. Amazing view from window of rolling hills and the sheep grazing in the fields. One of the most peaceful places I've been in my life. Staff were very friendly and relaxed. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Full English was great, plus orange juice, yoghurts, tea, coffee. Exceptional. Undoubtedly one of the best hotels I've stayed at in my life, and at amazing value for money. We travelled as a band playing at a wedding nearby, and it was a running topic of conversation just how lovely and peaceful the hotel was. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful old building with lovely features. Set back from the main road so is quiet. Loved our room & comfortable bed. Very clean. Plenty of free parking. Good wifi. Very good food & service, attention to detail. Fabulous staff ~ received a very warm welcome from Rob who could not have been more helpful. Looked after very well throughout our stay by Rob & Lois ~ thank you.

We stayed on the ground floor in the annexe and felt the room was a little damp however it was during the floods in that area and the bathroom a little cold.

Made a last minute booking here, for 1 night, due to problems with the, place we had booked. Staff were so helpful, room was lovely and clean and comfortable and breakfast was outstading. We will be staying again.

Twisty stairs & low headroom en route to and inside our room - but it was worth it because the room was lovely. Wouldn’t suit anybody with mobility issues.

Very warm and welcoming - beautifully decorated for Christmas. Easy parking. Comfortable room with excellent bathroom - good quality linens & towels. Delicious breakfast.

Arriving in the dark the only obvious car park was in front of the hotel and this was full so had to squeeze a space. In daylight it was clear there was plenty of parking in a couple of different places - it would have been great if there had been some sign posting.

Fried bread being offered as part of the breakfast menu - a rare treat. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff friendly and welcoming

Most rooms seem to be in an annexe, which entails a walk outside. Not a problem in good weather.

Stayed for one night for a birthday getaway, from the moment you drive down the long driveway you are transported to a quiet haven. Hotel is a beautiful mix of old features with modern furniture. We stayed in room 1 which overlooked the garden to the side of the property. Room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant which was fantastic, service was great and the staff very attentive without being intrusive. Breakfast had a great choice of options, we had the full Welsh breakfast and were pleasantly full on leaving. Highly recommend this little hidden beauty and will certainly be going back again.

Bedroom was cold on arrival. Heating not brilliant (stand alone Oil Heather was found in a cupboard, and was useful. It was ‘just turning’ weather wise, but the temperature of the Radiators and Towel Rail could have been hotter, especially considering the room rate. But still comfortable.

Beautiful property built 1525!, Log Fire, Cosy and well equipped. Very clean and tidy.
