Hotel a bit tired and needing some updating. Bathroom a bit on small side.

I had a single room but it was very very small...a double bed which I wasnt expecting but made the room extremely tight to move around in especially with a case etc... but it did the job, I slept and all was well :-)

Maybe a bigger bathroom would be nice, but the one we had was perfectly adequate and the electric shower was ok. Nothing else not to like.

Room (I think it was 14?) was nice, although tv perhaps a bit small by modern standards. Good lighting for reading in bed - thankyou! Public rooms and front gardens very nice; the website showed more extensive grounds behind the hotel, but we had an evening commitment and a fairly early departure, so didn't get to look! Breakfast was fine and nicely served at table by friendly staff. Haddington is a nice small town with clearly a lot of history around the town and general region. I would like to come back to this area at some point, and this feels like a good base.

The property is a little outdated, needing some tlc, It’s a beautiful building, but could do with some maintenance.

David & Matthew, were excellent hosts, very friendly & welcoming. They went above and beyond, when we slept in for breakfast and made sure we still got looked after .

Pathway and kerb appeal a bit off putting, picture on website did not reflect what we were expecting. Building was a little tired looking, to be honest, but it was not the best time of year to be visiting anywhere. (happy enough once inside and settled) Bathroom was very cold, especially tiled floor, small wall heater helped a little.

Manager and staff very friendly and helpful, absolutely nothing a problem! Bedroom cosy and clean. Breakfast included in price, plenty on offer. Meal in restaurant - had starter and sweet - both delicious! Walking distance to town and nice riverside walk. Booked this hotel to attend an event which was being held in one of hotel function rooms.

It’s a wee bit dated, but I think the owner is dealing with it and some renovations were apparent.

Went with my daughter for a revisit to Haddington. Used to live there years ago. So we know the area and other pubs and restaurants really well. Didn’t eat here other than breakfast, but the breakfast was lovely. The room we had was lovely and comfortable. Big room. Lovely bathroom, lovely bedding and towels. Hotel was quiet being February, but the welcome was exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff there and we are going to come back again with friends for our next trip.

Apparently most bedrooms are twin and if you book online they are then made into a “double “. Best to ring and clarify. Couldn’t obtain a menu before reserving a table, so ate out. All staff were brilliant

There are other areas and facilities the owners want to sympathetically improve but the local planners are blocking but it should not impact your visit

A traditional hotel in a lovely market town. The bedrooms have been refurbished and are very comfortable and clean In the freezing weather it wast cost and warm Staff were very friendly and helpful A very good choice

Breakfast was very limited - apart from the usual Scottish breakfast, the only highlight was the porridge which was excellent. There seemed not to be any fresh fruit. The bathroom was very small, absolutely freezing and the wall heater did not work. We seemed to be relegated to the farthest end of a wing of the building on both nights that we stayed there (3rd & 5th November ), but I suspect this was because we asked for single beds. The shower floor on our second visit was very slippery : when we asked the owner he told us that non-slip mats were available, but in a cupboard because if people used them they got slippery underneath and difficult to clean!

The location was ideal for us and we have in fact used the hotel before for meals when heading North to South. Parking is never a problem and the town's Main Street is only two minutes away, but it is very quiet there.

There is not enough parking for a large vehicle but plenty of spaces for smaller cars

The location for me was spot on, and the staff were very helpful and friendly .The room was big enough and had all the usual stuff that you would expect. Breakfast was really filling,made fresh, and whatever combination you wanted as well as tea/coffee, cereals, etc . Close to a town so you can eat out if needed too, although the hotel does have a restaurant

A little old and not cleaned properly. Also had an issue with wasps in the bathroom.

Location is great in town centre and near waterfront restaurants.
