At breakfast the eggs were not done to order ie I asked for broken yolk and got runny. Crumbs on seat. 2nd day the toast did not arrive with breakfast and I waited ages. When it did arrive breakfast was cold.

    Stunning building and decor.

They just need to keep up the good work.

It’s a 7-9 minute walk from the Moreton-in-Marsh station so you don’t need to ride a bus or taxi. It’s a quaint hotel with a nice garden. The food is also good

The weather. Many creaky narrow steps to bedrooms. Ask for room on first floor if aged and unsteady

The night i stayed was raining and all i could hear in the room was dripping water. Before i went to sleep i nearly came down for a change of room or someone to come up and find out where the non-stop dripping was.

Very nice room with good service and breakfast

Breakfast was excellent on our first morning. Very different and poor on our second day. Sha, the Irish gentleman was an excellent staff member. We understand he left on the Monday. Tuesday for whatever reason resulted in a very poor breakfast. Gone was the smiling efficient staff, except for the receptionist.

Our room 32. The fact that the hotel was warm. The building. The garden. The parking facilities. The fact that breakfast was included in the price.

The room, especially the bathroom, was far too hot. Thank goodness for the fan, though this time of year it shouldn’t be necessary!

Room was lovely. Beds very comfortable . Decent bathroom with lovely soaps etc. Would be better to have a walk in shower though! Breakfast nice. Staff were, without exception, polite, helpful and very friendly.

A good stay but some decorations and plumbing need TLC

There were some decoration issues with the bath panel in room 7 , peeling paint, blown panel. We didn't need to point that out, but it should be replaced . We did however point out that the bath trap was full and water didn't get away. It was fixed that day. So I did wonder if such things should be tested by staff on a regular basis...oh and the WC flush was very loose, likely to come off at any time .

The food was good and the service. Dinner was a bit expensive though

Bedrooms look tired. Soping floors. Ours was shabby, with no option to open the window for fresh air

Excellent breakfast and dinner. All the staff were very courteous and efficient. Probably have to work exceptionally hard. Downstairs and gardens look great, upstairs less so

A little noisy as there was a lot of work being done at our end of the hotel.

Loved the breakfasts. The room was great once we got the heating sorted. The evening meal was very tasty, wine was expensive but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. We enjoyed sitting in the Library and reading.

I don’t personally like a shower in the bath - just give me a shower! Plus because it’s in the bath, there wasn’t enough headroom to shower without crouching. And I’m not that tall!

Excellent breakfast - choice and quality. Staff very friendly.

Sent them a request for a quiet room. We were given one overlooking the busy main road through Moreton, goods vehicles passing all night. Very little sleep as a result. When we complained we were told there was no others available, I sent the request well in advance of our stay which allowed time to alter rooms or let us know there were none available, in which case I would have cancelled.

Location, lovely building, gardens, parking, breakfast.

Due to the carpet, it contains a lot of dust. I’m not sure about the room type. I booked a classic room, but my room was looked like a cozy room.

Cigarettes butts outside the window someone had clearly been smoking in the room. We were out with friends and returned at midnight only to find the hotel locked up. This caused frustration as we had no way of getting and and were not told doors would be locked.

Breakfast was great and room was nice.
