How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

There was a problem with the TV. Also the corridor to our room was quite narrow which meant maneuvering my scooter in and out of our room was tricky but obviously the hotel can't do anything about thst
The size of the room, the friendliness of the staff and a good location. We stayed in an accessible room and had a lovely big bathroom. Also had an assistance dog and they bought her a bowl of water when we were in the bar without us asking

Might be nice if they had some light snacks on offer
Location was excellent just across from the beach and amenities. Breakfast was lovely, we had full English. Staff were lovely, polite and friendly. Room was just adequate for us 2 staying for a couple of days.

Had to tighten the wing nuts on the toilet seat by hand on arrival. (Most hotels seem to have a habit of loose toilet seats.) No air-con in the room so had to have the window open, and neighbouring building was having some sort of party. Parking the car (only a Ford Focus) was a very tight squeeze in the rear car park. *Please supply a couple of pegs outside the wardrobe for wet coats.*
A well appointed "basic" room with a comfy bed and a very good en-suite shower. A nice breakfast which isn't included in the room price. Perhaps a bit pricey at £12 for the full English but smaller portions were also available. Very good breakfast team serving, well done! Good bed, firm but not hard. Right on the sea front, Just a few hundred yards from the North pier.

Breakfast is over priced, it was £7 for bacon egg sausage and black pudding but you want beans and toast with a tea it's and extra £5....£12 for a breakfast is too much. Does not serve dinner on site have to to sister hotel to eat dinner.
Good location, close to everything but not too close that the night life keeps you awake at night. Drinks prices are decent. Comfy beds.

We stayed in room 35 with 1 double bed and 1 single bed. Rooms nice, but the view from the window is a metal fire escape. So if the view is important to your stay, ask for a different room.
The staff are very nice. It has its own car park which is great. The rooms are nice and dining area and lounge have wonderful east facing sea view so get up early and watch the sun rise over the sea. Price very reasonable considering it was during the Easter school holiday.

Nothing. Had everything we needed. And if required anything they would try and accommodate
Was welcomed by cheery staff. We had a spacious room. Very clean. And great to see a bath and shower. Plenty of parking on site. We will definitely be back.

bed was too soft for us,but hey,personal preference! for what you pay for,would say a little pricey,paid for a king room and the only thing king about it was the bed,bit dated the rooms,but the views were fantastic!
