Check-in, the room and shower, breakfast were all very good.

In our room the shower screen could do with a good clean the shower wasn't the best the water just dribbled out of it we wasn't to botherd as we had a bath only to fined out the plug part didn't seal properly so the bath water would run away after 10 minutes. Bathroom tap was lose and rusting a little. Glasshouse could do with a window clean and some windows open.

Room was cosy. Bed was really comfy. Location was nice, Staff were nice. Room had nice TV and wee unit plus built in wardrobe.

Arrived about 6pm but our room wasn't ready until 7pm. We had to ask for towels and a Loo roll. Food was good but drinks were expensive. Drinks list of items they didn't have.

Ideal location for where I wanted to be the next morning.

Minor gripe, but lack of any sockets to accept usb charging cables was surprising and irritating.

Tired, old, mould in bathroom, badly fitted window allowing airflow. Heating not working in bathroom . This hotel has seen better days. I don’t mind basic but this is beyond basic. Thank god I had to leave early and not spend the night here.

The catering

Dinner was awful - not sure how you could mess up burger and chips but the cook managed it. Breakfast a bit better but then I only had egg on toast.

Sells damp. TV didn't work loose aerial kept falling out. Dusty bedroom, especially top of headboard. Uncomfortable bed. Hot beer, no coke, lemonade. Ice dissolved so quick in jd and bottles coke and still charged £11 a drink. Staff offered to help the suggested we could do it ourselves Book a taxi. carry case if we needed clearly said in a way which meant she didn't want to. 20 guest arrived and could only handle 2 people at a time. Poor elderly man doing the organising. Staff slow and have to hang around to speak to someone. Cheep basic room no breakfast included which we knew. Could have stayed Premier Inn as our friends did £5 more including breakfast.

Location near where we needed to be over night. Other guests were nice.

Room was very warm on entry even with no heating on and as on ground floor I couldn't really just leave window open as someone could get in. Cat parking not ideal when busy and what I assume was farm machinery blocking a few spaces in overflow car park.

Nice setting and surroundings. Reasonable size room (small double) but adequate for me as single occupant. Reasonably comfortable with everything I needed. Breakfast was good with lots of choice.

The room was very tired, toilet was leaking, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the shower was literally a dribble.

Rooms seemed as though hadn’t been vacuumed - dirty floor with bits of dirt and a big dead insect on the carpet- didn’t feel it was clean enough for my baby to crawl around on I could not get any warm water in the shower I had to have a bath instead Coffee with breakfast was terrible from the machine - would have far preferred filter or instant Hard to find staff when we arrived to check in

Cleanliness was a bit lower than expected for price (admittedly didn't raise this issue with a staff member). Shower curtain was mouldy. Room was outdated compared to the pictures.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy and sheets clean and fresh. Tea/coffee facilities good. Easy parking and a quiet location from the town.

I am quite easy going and so there was nothing that I could say annoyed me.

The Wifi was free and a good speed. The bed I had was very comfy and the cooked breakfast was excellent. All the staff were keen to assist with even the smallest request. The ongoing refurbishment did not cause too much of a problem and the hotel will be lovely when it is all completed.

The room was cold when we arrived as the heating was not working, although it was in the corridors. The staff were obviously aware of this as they had put an electric heater in my daughter and her husband's room. We had to ask for one to be put in ours. We were disappointed that the bar was not open as it is being refurbished. We did know from the booking.com website that the restaurant would not be open for lunch or dinner, however it did not mention that the bar would also be closed. It would have been good to have known this in advance.

Room and bathroom were clean. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was excellent - good choice and all freshly cooked.

The spotlights in the bedroom didn’t go right off and the light in the corridor shone under the door. The room wasn’t very spacious.

The charge for breakfast (not included in room rate), there was no way to just pay for a small continental or coffee & cereal if you didn't want the full english. I would suggest the room rate increased a little to cover a continental breakfast with additional payment for a cooked breakfast would be more satisfactory. Bathroom very old and in need of upgrading to modern standards.

Room was good, warm and comfortable, bathroom facilities were in need of renewing but adequate. Location was great, finding and parking good, cooked breakfast very nice.
