    A soulless depressing room.

Absolutely basic. Just a bed and a kettle in a room, but clean, cheap and in a decent location for public transport.

The issue was the cleanliness, the bathroom had quite a lot of dust and there were parts of the room's carpet that seemed unclean. It would have been nice to have some more furniture or a TV in the room.

The location is great and the area is bustling with shops and cafes nearby. The room was large and comfortable especially with how warm it was. It's a beautiful building and there is a bus stop right outside.

The water pressure in the electric shower is pretty bad. Not the end of the world but it's a shame it wasn't better.

This property is just off the tram line and convenient for the city centre. For a room on the cheaper end of the spectrum in Edinburgh, it was decent. Much better than some other bargain places I've stayed. It's pretty basic but clean, quiet and comfortable.

The bathroom was relatively dirty and there was mould on the wall. The cleanliness, however, was not the hosts fault as he seemed to clean it regularly but guests would clog the shower with their hair and not remove it afterwards. The shower could maybe come with a small instruction on how to use it since I have never seen an electrical one before and needed some time to figure out that I needed to switch it on before entering the bathroom. Neither was a huge problem in my eyes though since it was only for a short stay of one night for me and everything else was fantastic.

The rooms are very large and the heating being switched on in my room when I arrived was much appreciated after being out in the cold for quite a long time. The host was a really nice man who explained everything quickly after arrival. The hostel is close to a large street and many attractions and also there is a bus stop nearby. Coffee and tea was provided. I really enjoyed staying there and would definitely do it again (and also for a longer time).

No TV in the room and pretty basic bathroom but it was only for one night and very cheap so served its purpose.

Very handy location from a tram stop, supermarket and a pub.

Average beds, only 1 main light, parking would be extortionate during the week with no overnight stay. Free street parking if you're willing to walk 10 minutes which is worth considering given the cost of the room and parking charges in Edinburgh.

Good location, good price, sizable room, parking free at the weekend, tea & coffee. You get what you pay for. If you want to keep the costs down and don't mind sharing a bathroom, you could do a lot worse than this. There are two floors and a bathroom on each, so chances are that there'll always be one available.

A higher table/work surface would have been ideal to use laptop and make notes.

Accommodation fine for a night in Edinburgh. Bed comfortable and tea/coffee available. Located around 20 mins walk from Waverley station but trams are nearby. Shared bathroom was clean and tidy.

The proximity to Waverly Station is walking distance. Its downhill getting there and uphill on the wsy back. There are busses and trams too. My room was clean, simple , towels were provided and tea and coffee with a kettle. I am a side sleeper and found the mattress very firm, I did find I was waking up on my back. The owner was very nice and let me have a late check out. If you are OK with sharing a bathroom, then it's totally worth it as the price is very good for Edinburgh.

The family staying downstairs was very helpful. Young women were staying upstairs who were loud at bedtime but after having been asked they went quiet, and I was able to get a good night's sleep. Their bathroom upstairs was untidy.

The location is excellent. The host was super polite and caring. He kept in touch with me through text messages and expected me when I arrived. My room was very clean and so was the bathroom downstairs. The fish and chip shop in the neighbourhood was excellent. Good restaurants and Sainsbury's are 5-10 minutes walk from the accommodation.

There was a leak in the roof and when the property manager was contacted about it, they didn’t seem bothered and just left us to deal with it.

Staff were friendly, extra blankets were provided incase if cold and tea and coffee supplied too. Nice location.

Simple no frills place to stay. For myself going to visit Easter Road and the home of Hibernian it was great for the nights stay. Ventured out into the centre and this is fairly easy to get to / from as well. Helpful staff when checking in and everything clean and tidy despite being basic but this is obvious when booking.

The bed was terribly uncomfortable, and the shower was either scolding hot or ice cold. There were some creeks in the floor, but overall, it was not a terrible place to stay for the price.

It was close to the local transportation. Easy to find.
