I'll note at the outset that the downsides are minor; they did not make us want to change place and did not affect our overall rating (8/10, which is a high score). This is solely our opinion: The biggest downside for us was the inability to lock the room when going out. I understand that renting a room is based on mutual trust, but what trust can I have in people from other rooms? Especially since my partner is a photographer, so we had a lot of expensive equipment. Therefore, leaving the room without being able to lock it was a drawback for us. Another downside (but a small one) is the fact that the bathroom is separate. It is my fault for not reading thoroughly that "private" does not mean en-suite. I felt somewhat uncomfortable walking in my pyjamas down the corridor (the distance is very short). Another small downside - no possibility to check in (even for an additional fee) after 10 pm. I understand everyone sets their own rules, but it simply stressed us out that, having a very long journey ahead, we might not make it in time. As you can see, these are small downsides that did not significantly affect the comfort of our stay.

The place is very nice, exceptionally clean, and well-maintained. The owner pays attention to the smallest details. For us, it was an ideal base for exploring Cornwall, particularly close to the beautiful Marazion and St Michael's Mount. The bathroom is very nice and spacious. The owner is incredibly friendly and ensures that guests feel comfortable in her place. Various sweet pastries (e.g., warm cinnamon rolls) were added to breakfast daily. Important: this is neither a positive nor a negative point, just information – breakfasts are ONLY sweet, so if someone prefers savoury options, it’s best to stock up on ready-made options from nearby supermarkets. I would add that the price is very attractive (considering the standard), especially compared to nearby places.

We found the mattress a little uncomfortable, but for a few days, this wouldn't be a show stopper. Would prefer the en suite bedroom, but again, having personal use of the separate family bathroom wasn't a problem apart from not wanting to disturb other guests and hosts.

The location was ideal for us. The property was extremely nice and very clean. The complimentary continental breakfast was lovely and more than sufficient. The room was a good size with plenty of storage but not ensuite. However, the personal bathroom facility just down the landing was excellent. The host, Michelle, was great, very friendly, and helpful.

I cannot find any faults at this property.

The property was located in a quiet cul de sac away from any noise. The property was of the highest standard spotless and very clean. The home was warm with central heating so it felt homely upon arrival. The hosts made me feel welcome from the start showing me my room and private bathroom which had an amazing deep bath very rare to have a quality bath these days. Tea and coffee refreshments in the room…. A very comfy bed and a sumptuous continental breakfast in the morning… My advise is this is a hidden gem in the Cornish area of Camborne.

Everything was superb 👌. The best place I have ever stayed. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly , They family went out of thier way to help me out. A place that's actually warm. I really enjoyed my stay! The hosts where friendly and I really liked the fact it was quiet between 10pm-8am it really gave me the chance to sleep well. The okave was exceptionally clean and I felt very comfortable. I travelled by myself for a small get away and this was everything I needed. I now know the difference between a private bathroom and an en-suite and a trip down the landing in my PJs was a little discombobulating, good job I don't sleep in the buff! However this was reflected in the price so no complaints.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay in Meadowview cottage. After a long day of travelling, I came to a very cosy and clean room with comfortable bed. I had my own private bathroom with all shampoo, soaps and lotion provided and I could even take a bath as a bonus, which was very appreciated after hiking so much. Breakfast was fab too. Location just a few minutes walk from train and buses which will take you to local towns like St Ives and Penzance, very easy to travel around to see all the sights. Thank you so much for this amazing stay!

Michelle is a lovely person and made us feel welcome from the second we arrived. She has a beautiful home and we benefitted from a very spacious bathroom and room. We were given a lot of privacy which can be rare when staying inside someone’s house, but weren’t completely ignored.

Felt a bit awkward using communal corridor/ landing area to access private bathroom, especially going past another guestroom, however we knew to expect a non en-suite facility before we came, and the bath itself was lovely with plenty of toiletries available for us.

Nothing really not to like. My only hope I had before visiting was that there would be some kitchen and microwave facilities available for guests, so the odd meal could be heated up and consumed. Not a big issue though.

Breakfast was continental but pretty varied so plenty of choice. House is quite and peaceful. Location is fairly central to other west Cornwall locations.

We had a very generous complimentary continental breakfast each morning. There was plenty of space to park immediately in front of the property.
